  • Go to www.calorieking.com that site has a ton of stuff...maybe you'll find it there. Good luck and have a blast!
  • Pain is fear leaving the body. actually, it's jillians, but i really like it.
  • I learned in my A & P class today that stretching is just as important as weight training. You can tone your muscles with stretching alone (I guess that's yoga, right?). I thought that was very interesting. I just want to take my teacher out for coffee and pick his brain!
  • I agree. It seems to me you do need rest...try eating some bananas too, it may help with muscle stiffness.
  • If you can run on a treadmill, do it. I am 260 and can't run because it kills my knees so bad and then I'm out of workouts for weeks while I rehab the mess i've made. I don't like gyms at all because they charge too much and I think it puts negative pressure on a person. When I would be at the gym and doing weights and…
  • i have one that was about $200 and it works just as well as the big massive expensive one at the gym. I like it a lot and it gets the cardio i need in. it's also working upper and lower body and doesn't hurt my knees.
  • we will all be healthier for it, in the long run....no matter how hard it is sometimes. We gotta stick with it.
  • I was pregnant at 15. Just when I was at the point in my teens about feeling good about my body, I have a baby. That's not what caused my weight gain, but it was the first time one of my good friends told me I had a huge *kitten*. Come on, how huge an *kitten* can a person have at 130 pounds!? I had my kid and got back…
  • My son needs lithium for a mood disorder and he hasn't gained any extra weight, but it's a good thing to look out for. Good luck in your weight loss
  • I actually chewed out subway (their corporate office) for endorsing this diet and then still claiming to be part of the American Heart Association. Oh, it really irritates me. anyways, the reason you had no energy is because you had no fuel for your body. Our bodies fuel are...carbohydrates. Lovely, tastey, filling,…
  • Here is the best tip you will ever get....joing a Pilates class at your local hospital. Most of the meet once a week, but if you do the exercises more than once a week...you will see and feel the result. Did you know you use your core muscles to steer your vehicle...you didn't? Well...after pilates, you will  It is…
  • Yes we can. I've been slighty thrown off because I hurt my knee last week, but I am still able to use my elliptical machine, so I'm happy with that
  • Thank you all for the support! I have a great feeling that with this site, I will be able to get to a healthy weight! :smooched:
  • Way to go! That's amazing! Congrats.
  • I can't see how something like that could do much good, except maybe with certain areas for sculpting your muscles. However, if you did the ten minute DVD three or four times, that would do good. :-)
  • If you start putting things into the "Do Not Eat" list...you will eventually crave it all the time. You can eat anything you want...just keep it to the suggested serving size. In order for weight loss to be steady you have to learn to incorporate the food you love. otherwise, it really is just a diet...not a lifestyle…
  • I did my workout early today, I usually workout at night because it helps me sleep SOOOOO well...but I am going out tonight so I did the workout this morning. It's weird exercising in the morning, but I pulled my blinds closed and went to town. Burned 522 calories on Level One...AWESOME!
  • I really needed this workout today. I ate like crap today and by the time "exercise time" came around, I was just ready to crawl into bed and say forget it! But I put on my workout clothes and tennis shoes and then I felt a little better. Now I am sitting down at my computer typing this, still coming down off my endorphine…
  • I have always been a believer in 'everything in moderation'. I just haven't been able to handle the "moderation" part...which is my biggest goal..overcoming my urge to eat and eat and eat. I'm tend to eat until I feel ill...so i have been focusing on just eating portion sizes. I am lucky that I've never eaten terrible bad…
  • I have had lots of those in the house the past month and have not once eaten more than one serving size per day. I guess my thought is that if I have any "can't eat" foods...those are the only thing I'm gonna want to eat.
  • I love bob's yoga...I sweat and my muscles twitch and it's awesome! I'm glad you liked it. :D
  • So BOTH my workout buddies are bailing on me...on a very regular basis. So I have really been focused during level one. I get through the first circuit just fine but when I get to those static lunges with bicep curls, I want to cry because I hurt so bad. Well last night I kept my eyes on the wall just behind my tv. I…
  • I do use the protein. I don't like the taste, but it keeps me from being very sore the day following my workout. It's only like 40 calories (I think) per scoop.
  • It may be because you are not eating enough calories...our bodies are picking and if it thinks we are starving it, it is going to keep every extra calorie and store it. What is your recommended caloric intake (without the exercise calories)?
  • Thank you! So far, in three weeks, I've lost 7 pounds! I'm so excited...I've even recruited two workout buddies. that way, when one buddy can't workout, the other can! Good luck to you too! :flowerforyou:
  • Whenever someone quits smoking I jump for joy! Look at it this way, you may have gained some weight initially, but you've said NO to your cancer sticks. Way to Go! You should be feeling great. Weight is temporary...addiction is forever.
  • AMAZING! My sister and I are doing out "Before" pictures tonight. She doesn't want to do it, but I told her it would be an inspiration! I will show her this post later and she'll jump on board. She's starting at 230 and I'm at 260...so we will see what happens!
  • I read it and while it does say all the things you mentioned, it wasn't published in any medical journal. I get all my research information from medical journals. It's the only thing I can "trust" on the internet. LOL :)
  • It's bad. If you have to have a soda...make it a regular soda and add a few more minutes to your workout.
