All the fats I use are real. No margarine here. EVOO, Coconut oil, butter (Yes butter is good), and grapeseed oil if I need something that has no flavor and can handle heat.

I get what you are saying, but even the oxygen we breathe is a slow form of poison. It causes oxidation and free radicals, but hey we need it. You can nit pick every little thing you put in your body if you want. Everybody has a different threshold on what they view as poison. This is where being an informed consumer comes…

I would do meal replacement drinks, like Ensure. They have ones with extra calories and ones with extra protein. You can also try cream soups for something a little more savory. I have crohns disease and when I get sick I eat a low residue diet. Try that and see how you feel.

Try adding some oatmeal and Metamucil to your diet. Both of these can help lower cholesterol.

Yep. I want to live longer, and be healthy. Everything else is a bonus. I also endulge every now and then, and I cant really say I eat anything that I dont like.

I find stevia really bitter. I even bought a now foods brand where the reviews claimed no bitter aftertaste. I think some people are "super tasters" and can taste more than other people. Stevia is terrible. I wont use sucralose or aspartame, so I dont use no cal sweeteners.

Even ramen is not that bad if you toss in some frozen veggies, and top with a scrambled egg or thinly sliced meat. Tofu is also really affordable, if you like that sort of thing. Goes great with rice or ramen.

Well coffee isnt that bad, its the stuff we put in it thats bad. That said I make mine with a tsp of brown sugar and a tbsp of half and half. I only have 2 coffees a day.

Now Foods Daily One. My husband and I both take it. Its a good basic multi, and NOW Foods is a good brand.

Keep moving. If you you cant do something sub it out with something you can do.
-
Yes its, good to eat most of your exercise calories back. Some days I eat 1800 if I move enough.

You need to start slowly with the metamucil and you need to drink lots of water with it. If you dont you can get even more constipated. Also when starting more fiber, make time to sit on the toilet. Give yourself 10 min in the morning and before bed. You may be used to ignoring your body's signals to go. If you feel better…

Most water soluble vitamins like B complex and C are excreted in urine when too much is consumed. Vitamin C will give you the runs if you really overdo it. Fat soluble vitamins like E and A can be toxic. Vitamin D is really hard to OD however. Vitamin A from vegetable sources is not possible to OD on because its actually…

Physio can help, but there are supplements that can help build the cartilidge back up. Glucosamine with MSM, can help. Turmeric and ginger capsules can help relieve the inflammation.

I have been doing it for 7 weeks now. I pretty much do it everyday. I dont follow a special diet, I just eat at a calorie deficit everyday. I try to get more protein, but I dont stress about it. I have lost 12 lbs so far and some inches too. I dropped from about a size 8 to a size 6. I actually prefer these workouts to the…

I put a little mayo on top and then some parmesan and bake it at 375F for about 20 min. It makes a nice bubbly crust. Tonight I am mixing 1 part sweet chili sauce with 1 part soy and glazing the fish before baking at 375 for 20 min.

Great work. I have about 6 weeks left and I love the results so far.

I dont cheat. I am going to have beer, pizza and wings tonight and its not cheating. I did an hour of plyo today, and I am walking to and from the pub. Not cheating. I plan to thoroughly enjoy every bite. I dont eat like this everyday so its not cheating, I dont have to feel guilty about it.

Lets not forget the Passion Flake. OMG.

If you have more than you think you will use, you can wash it, and stuff it into to freezer bags. Freeze it and crumble it into soups, stirfrys, mashed potatoes, etc for extra nutrition.

Nope we have savoury and sweet muffins. Usually its corn muffins made out of cornmeal, but I didnt have cornmeal. Its not a biscuit dough, or a roll dough, its a muffin batter.

Also with time your stomach does shrink a bit, and you get full sooner. It does take a couple weeks of not stretching it to that super full point. I used to eat seconds every time at supper, and now I couldnt fit them if I tried.

The brine is also good for hangovers.

I love using the Silver Hills sprouted grain bread. Its so filling. I dont feel hungry for hours after. They have a Little Big Bread that is 110 cal for 2 slices. Their other breads are about 100 cal a slice, and a high source of fiber and protein (6-7g a slice depending on which kind)

Cook in a cast iron frying pan. It puts a little bit of iron into foods. Beans are a great source, so is raisin bran. Make sure you pair iron rich foods with a food high in vitamin c, like oranges, or green peppers.

Cool thanks.

Do you make the distance even though you are winded or do you quit. I find about half way through a 10K I get a little winded, so I slow down for a little bit, and then pick it up, and then slow down, and then pick it up, and then I get a second wind to help me finish. I wouldnt have known about this second wind had I just…

I have 6 weeks left of p90x. I love it. When I am done, I am thinking of doing turbofire or insanity. I know those focus on high intensity calorie burning exercises, but will they also maintain the strength I built up doing p90x? Which program would be better for that.

Also it may not set because fresh pineapple has an enzyme called bromelain, which breaks down proteins. I dont know for sure it would cause it to not set, because chocolate is mostly fat and sugar.

I dont like to weigh every day because PMS bloat puts a good 3-4 lbs on me, which always comes off. So I weigh myself at a certain part of my cycle when I know I will not have that bloat.
