That is hilarious. Love it....and I would get so bored creating and deleting profiles. I'll stick with my only boring one.

I've seen this question asked a lot, and I've seen a hundred different responses. I personally think that you simply have to find what works for you. Try different things, find something you're happy with - that you can live with and sustain - and do that. I, and again, personally, cut out a lot of processed grains and…

Think about this for a minute: What is one common thing boxers and wrestlers do if they want to drop into a lower weight class? They hit the steam room. The principle applies to these pants. Traps in the heat, makes you sweat, and you lose weight. Is it something I would spend money on? Probably not, but to each his/her…

One thing I noticed right off was your profile picture. If that's your before and after, that's all you need to know that your body fat % hasn't gone up. Look at the change in definition!! That's not fat. Quite obviously.

Well, even with what I've lost, I still have D's. I also do a lot of strength training though to help with the perkiness...of everything. ;)

Awesome! In your OP, it didn't say anything about strength training. I get a tad worried when I see women doing nothing but cardio. The fact is, your body adjusts to it, and pretty soon, you're not burning the calories you think you are. That's why it's important to mix it up and do strength training. Kudos on getting a…

Cracked me up! Effing hilarious, that was.

From an outsider's perspective, I'm not doubting this guy's credentials or anything, but he's not good at making clear concise arguments on video....and the UM thing would drive me crazy. I made it through 10 minutes of that video. He looks great though, and I did agree with what I got out of that 10 minutes, but I was…

Throw away the scale, start lifting weights, and buy a tape measure. Seriously. Drink water like it's your job. Avoid processed grains whenever possible. Go for whole grains, and watch out for things with added sugar. You probably have plateaued, and don't worry about that, it happens to everyone. However, as for losing…

Strength training has been a life saver for me. I do high weights, 12-15 reps, 3 sets each exercise - alternating days between upper and lower body. How you can tell if you're lifting enough weight is that it starts to burn really good around your 10th rep. I tried "toning" by lifting light weights and doing tons of reps…

As a diabetic, I have to agree with it, but I also know that not everyone is insulin resistant. That being said, more and more people are becoming insulin resistant as we consume so many processed grains and refined sugar. Doctors and scientists refer to it as metabolic syndrome or syndrome X. Before I was diagnosed with…

I have felt the same way many times as well. When you're eating nutrient dense, low calorie foods, sometimes it's hard to hit those calories. Add in lean meats full of protein and you're going to feel full. I would suggest listening to your body and if you're hitting your numbers for everything else (vitamins, etc.) then…

Thank you for sharing. It's so inspirational. I topped out at 314 myself. I'm down 60 and still have over 100 to lose and sometimes I get frustrated. I still have a whole person to lose...but I still eat right, work out, and don't lose focus. Your story helps. Thank you!

I sent a request. I still have over 100lbs to lose and I've been at it 6 months. Anyone else who has a long road ahead of them can add me too!

All sugars are not created equally. For anyone to say that they are is vastly oversimplifying the issue. Sugar from raw fruit is much better for you than anything containing syrup. Here's a decent article on the science behind the different types of sugar. http://www.science20.com/michael_goran/issue_fructose_period-90840

Well, I personally eat Primal. That is not to say I never have a piece of bread, but I don't nosh on refined grains and processed sugars at every meal like I used to. I think it's all about balance. I still eat carbs, I just get mine from natural sources now. Fruits, veggies, and some dairy. I am never tired, I feel good,…

I'm 5'3" and my original goal was 120, but I've since started doing a lot of strength training. I love nerdfitness.com and I would be perfectly happy to look like Staci http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/ who weighs in at 142 with very little body fat. Rather than…

I do Primal, and I love Marksdailyapple.com - There are always recipes on there. Pinterest is a great resource too. I like a bit of dairy so I don't do full-out paleo. This morning I had a greek yogurt with almonds and fresh fruit. Totally filling and 20 carbs - none from any refined sugars or grains. I like Fage yogurt…

I'll send a request. I log daily (except for some weekend days when I'm super-busy) and anyone who is an active logger can add me too. Encouragement helps so much, right?!

I have to agree with this. I have recently gone Primal, and I get a moderate amount of carbs (still less than 100g a day) from fruit and veggies (more than you would think, really), but I have NO carbs from processed grains and sugar. Can I eat this way the rest of my life? ABSOLUTELY. I feel 100X better than I did before,…

I am working on going mostly Paleo. I've given up all the processed sugars and grains, but I still like dairy. I like yogurt, cheese, and the like. That being said, I've lost 5lbs this week with the changes I've made. I also do protein shakes because I've started lifting heavy. I'm also diabetic (type 2 from several years…
