Thanks to everyone for your encouraging words and support. I really appreciate it. Hearing that the last 10 are the hardest, will take the longest, etc.. is not exactly what I wanted to hear  However, just reading it helps me to know that this is the way it is and I need to keep going and not give up. I do not have…

Thanks...I appreciate this. It makes sense for me to go to someone who specializes in orthopedics/sports medicine. I would definitely like to have someone assess my alignment, strength, gait, etc... I'm sure I need new athletic shoes and want to find someplace that analyzes you as you run so I get the right shoes. It would…

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and advice!! I really appreciate it. Thankfully, I'm not in pain....yet. I just hear that terrible cracking noise. I think I will take it easy for the next few days...and see about checking in with a doctor. Better safe than sorry. I'm also going to look into the glucosamine (sp?) and a…

I was thinking the same thing about those darn lunges with the weights....they were killing my arms. I was hoping by the last day of level 1 I'd be breezing through them, but they are still tough for me. I'd love to hear if anyone else has felt this way about a particular exercise!!! Hang in there!!

SuperMel---Congrats on fitting into those clothes!!!! I think that is by far the biggest motivator for me...when I can fit into those clothes I haven't been able to wear in YEARS!!! It's a great feeling!! Keep it up! Debbie--Thanks for the words of encouragement and support! I start level 2 tomorrow. In a way, I'm anxious…

Good luck Weebles and Taysmum with getting your DVD situation worked out. If you can afford it, I'd just head to Walmart and buy a new one. They really aren't that expensive now. Don't put off starting the shred...it is GREAT!!! Tomorrow is my last day on Level 1, so I'll be starting Level 2 on Tuesday. I'll check my…

Have to share... Did L1D5 last night and convinced my husband to join me. I definitely felt stronger, AND my knees were not bothering me as much. I really tried to concentrate on the suggestions shared (thanks again!!). What really made me feel sooooooo good was that my husband was struggling through some of the moves…

pz5wjj.....THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to write all of that info regarding the knee problems some of us are experiencing!!!! It was very helpful and I will definitely think about it as I'm shredding tonight

It is GREAT to read everyone's positive comments, successes and struggles. So much to help motivate me to keep on going and to see that I'm not the only one dealing with some difficulties. I just did L1D4 yesterday. Definitely feel stronger, although those push ups are still tough for me! Those 20 minutes go by really…

THANK YOU!! I was wondering how accurate the 20 mins. of circuit training was...I don't have an HRM yet.

Hi...thanks to all who are posting their experiences with this. My goal is to do it everyday, and now that I've heard it's like starting all over if you skip days, it's made me more motivated to stick with my goal. So thanks for all that feedback, everyone!!! I'm only on day 2 of level 1 and it was harder than yesterday…

Hi again! After I posted earlier today I decided to jump right in and being the shred. It was GREAT!! It was hard, but very motivating to be done in 20 minutes. I only have 3 lb. weights right now, so I'll use those for now. Most of the time I was following Anita, but I don't plan on doing that all of the time. The…

Hi to everyone! I just got this dvd in the mail yesterday and I'm anxious to start, but have a bunch of questions. I read through some of the posts...but not all of them!! For those of you that have been doing this. How long do you do level 1 before moving on to the next level? Do you do it every day? What has everyone's…

I joined about the same time last year. At that time I lost the weight I wanted to lose, and I did a pretty good job of keeping it off until the school year started. Since I'm a teacher, I was off all summer, got back to work in September and became stressed out with a lot of changes in my position. For me, stress=food.…

Nope, not leaving!!! I've had such great success...I want to make sure I maintain where I'm at. I know myself all too well. If I don't keep logging in what I eat, I'll overeat! This site definitely keeps me on track!

Today was my final weigh in for the Diet Derby at work. I've been on this site for 8 weeks, and I've lost a total of 11 pounds. I'm so psyched because my goal was 10. I have become a firm believer in this site and how it can help you lose and maintain weight! My next goal is just that...to maintain and maybe lose a few…

Those were funny! I enjoyed it and needed a chuckle today. Thanks!

Congratulations Bob! I think that's fantastic that you were able to adjust your eating on that trip and maintain your weight. I have total faith that you will be able to do it again. It's all about planning ahead and making good choices. It sounds like you've made some great life changes to help you in both those areas.…

Thanks everyone! I'm copying your suggestions and sending them to him at work. I (we) appreciate your advice!!

A big fan also....AND a big reality tv junkie.... Thursdays are tough though because my husband is NOT a fan of American Idol, but loves Survivor and LOST. I'm trying to convince him to get DVR, but it hasn't happened, YET! Anyway, last week I just checked online to see who had been voted off.

I'm writing this post for my husband..... He's complaining about getting midmorning cravings where he feels like he could eat a whole meal. So, what does he do...heads to the vending machine and buys junk. I've tried to give him some suggestions, but I thought I'd ask all of you for some help too. He doesn't eat much for…

WOW! Thanks for sharing. I had heard about this before, but didn't really look into it. What you posted was very informative, and I'm taking the popcorn out of the cabinet! My daughter LOVES microwave popcorn...she'll be devastated.

Hi, First, I have to thank everyone again for responding to my "frustrated" posting yesterday. This site has been wonderful for me...to keep me on track with my eating and because of the amount of support its members gives out. I have 1 week to go on this Diet Derby at work. My goal was to lose 10 pounds and as of today, I…

Thanks to everyone who responded. The support here is wonderful, and I think it's just what I needed to pick me up. Good luck to everyone and thanks again! Darci

Hi, I'm feeling a little defeated at the moment and I need to know what I'm doing wrong. My goal 8 weeks ago was to lose 10 pounds. I've been tracking my food and my exercise and I'm getting close, but I don't think I'm going to reach my 10 pound goal. I only lost a half pound this week, and I don't understand why? I know…

Weighed in today.....gained 2 pounds. I'm so mad at myself because I had a rough weekend and ate over my calories. I knew it was going to be bad today. It's so frustrating : ( UGH!!! Just angry at myself...had to vent:explode: :grumble:

I totally understand what you are going through. I had problems with my back for years, and it got progressively worse. I finally went to the doctor. She sent me to physical therapy, which worked wonders. My middle back feels great! I still have pains in my lower right side, but it's gotten so much better. It's frustrating…
