The back is getting to me

Ok I'm either going to the doctor today or tomorrow, depending on when they can get me in. I'm going to demand tests because it's getting worse every day. The thing is it's killing me to not work out. I can't even do yoga anymore because it hurts so bad. So of course I'm starting to feel down and gain some weight back. ::sigh:: I just don't know what to do anymore. Everything I do hurts. I want to run! Sorry just complaining. Keep up the good work everyone!

Honey trust me when I tell you that I UNDERSTAND!
Back problems are the WORST. they can lay you out for days.
Have you tried the heat the cold the heat then cold yet?
15 min heat pad, 15 min cold pack, 15 min heat pad, 15 min cold pack,
Do this for an hour and see if that does not lower the pain to a standable area for a bit.
Also are you doing the pillow between the knees thing.
This takes the pressure off the spin and might make sleep easier and more comfortable for you.
Sometimes a pillow right under the butt keeps the muscle in the back from pinching.
I know that you may have heard these before, but just in case. Until that time when you get to see the dr. Remember that I feel your pain dear, and I hope that you feel better soon.

Lay on the floor, in front of your couch. Put your feet up on the seat of the couch, with knees bent, butt right up against the front of the couch. Try to stay in this position as long as you can. I find it relaxes the muscles in the lower back. Good luck!-Chris.0

I've tried it all. Heat seems to help the most. Cold irritates it for some reason. Pillows between my knees relieves pain for a little bit but it comes back. We'll see what the doctor says. Thanks love.

I totally understand what you are going through. I had problems with my back for years, and it got progressively worse. I finally went to the doctor. She sent me to physical therapy, which worked wonders. My middle back feels great! I still have pains in my lower right side, but it's gotten so much better.
It's frustrating when you can't exercise. Definitely go to the doctor!!!

I like to take drugs....ha ha.....not really. It seems the simple way out but I know they only cover the pain without really healing the pain. Four years ago I was working and going to school full-time, very stressful life. My neck and back hurt so bad I could cry, and I did a lot. One day I remembered that the chiropractor had suggested I purchase one of those wavy memory foam type pillows. After ten months of sheer agony, I found the pillow on sale, bought it, used it for four days, and WHAM BAM, pain free. That won't solve your problem, so I wouldn't suggest it, but you might find peace in knowing we acknowledge your pain.:flowerforyou:0

Before the pillow, I found a wonderful massage therapist and she is the only one that could get me relief for any amount of time. And about one day a month, I'd take the pain killer just to try to get one night of sleep.0
