Hi mum's! This is exactly the group I was looking for! Im looking for accountability, support and some mamma company while I lose my last 10kg. 2 kiddos under 5, also moved to a new continent with a newborn, turning 40 in 3 months (yikes!) And feel like my body is like a bowl of jelly! I've lost over 20kg on MFP over the…

Great story and the kick in the *kitten* I needed to hear today! Way to go you!!

Stretching post workout (your muscles must be warm) has changed everything! I took about 8 weeks out to build strength, stamina and flexibility where my back is concerned and can now say that I am pain free (where I was in absolute agony before). My 2 favourite post training stretches are 1) on my back, knees in to chest…

I'm the same, sweet is my weakness and although I don't mind thinking of healthy mays to satisfy the craving after everything I eat (truth is sometimes I am eating the savoury because then I can have the sweet!) it is the addiction that makes you feel trapped. Sorry, no suggestions for what it can be but you are not alone!

Nice post, Thanks. You deserve to rock what you got!

Love this! Going to start lowering my squats, saw a girl in the gym tonight using a step box behind her and going low enough for her butt to touch it on the squats. Great story, thanks for the inspiration.

0.4lb this week! After 3 weeks of nothing and having to increase calories - i'm taking that as a victory :0)
-
Great job! Go rock your socks off and get to where you want to be...you are clearly one SERIOUS lady, go get 'em!

From what I understand you shouldn't eat under your BMR (this is what you would need in a coma, the thought that I am eating less than my body requires (my BMR is 1440 and calorie goal is 1200) to function my organs is kinda of grossing me out right now, i mean, do i want to be a slim bride to the point that I would…

Thanks - i think the bottom line is 1200 net calories isn't enough...for me!
-
Too true... i need to keep calm and carry on!
-
Do either or. Either eat 1592 and eat exercise cals back or eat 1700 and dont. Don't do both.

Hello - thanks for the info on here. I have done all my calculations (based on the 'road map' guide) and think i am ready to commit to this. I had 50lbs to lose, i have lost 13lbs but nothing for the past few weeks and then I have upped to 1500-1700 this week, 3 x cardio and lifting a week, and have gained 1lb. I am…

This is really interesting. I haven't lost for 2 weeks, maybe my body is adjusting to being 15lbs lighter...
-
Well done and thanks for the inspiration! I'm on week 1 day 3...looking forward to being where you are and moving on to the 10k!

I read someone else on here saying that she makes it just part of what she does, like you never say i just cant be bothered to brush my teeth. It doesn't matter how late i am for work or how rough I look when rushing out the door i always brush my teeth (and wear mascara but that's just me!), so now I try and think of…

I agree! Whole Earth Organic Crunch Peanut Butter, Almond Butter on rice/corn cakes or an apple (or just by the tea spoon ;0), Avocado (I like mine with a splash of balsamic and pinch of sea salt)

Hi, I'm Mimi and I love this group, you seem like a great bunch of people. I have been struggling with my weight since birth! There were complications, i was tiny and nearly died so they put me in an incubator and gave me lots of steroids and i have never been in the "tiny" category ever again! So, I am currently 52lbs…

Living in Zanzibar for a year was one of my healthiest (and slimmest) years to date. I ate a lot of fish and Sukuma (spinach and tomato dish) with a couple of japatis...oh and pweza (octopus) with lime and black pepper. Prawn curries (quite heavy in the coconut milk but when all you have eaten for breakfast is fresh fruit…

Thanks! I'll take more definition over less lbs lost...generally want to be smaller, harder and stronger.
-
Oops, my attempt to tell you to work.it! didn't really work. Major change, you should flaut it!
-
Thanks for all the great tips...the book is on the way! Did anyone start this with 40/50lbs to lose? Or 2/3 dress sizes if you aren't a scale slave?
-
Stayed the same today but my jeans feel looser! It's all good, we'll see what next week brings.
-
HOT! Well done...an inspiration.
-
Gained 1lb, I'm going to blame it on the bloat...i ran like a daemon this morning tho, damn that lb!
-
Great post! Well done for reaching your goal and even BIGGER well done for beating the big C...invincible indeed!
-
I just wondered if you know about averaging out, so, if i was over yesterday and under today will it balance out over the week? I definitely want to take the healthiest approach possible but it is hard to get exactly 1200 cals in all the time - my life isn't that black and white sadly!
-
Well done! You've already achieved so much - keep going! GO GO GO!

Weigh in once a week and fill your mind with thoughts on how you are feeling, the acomplishment of sticking to your calorie target, drinking lots of water and how kind you are being to your body, you will find that all these things will show on the scales over time. I still have a looong way to go but I believe in what I…
