Me too - 5'7". I rarely weigh myself, so no idea at the moment - but my pic is recent :)

I'm sending a friend request. Also: if you've had a hard time with consistency in the past, my suggestion is to pick one thing to work on at first. Once you have mastered that one thing, add something else. If you want ideas, just ask. It's easy to get overwhelmed. Good luck :) Amanda

I agree with the proper shoe/proper fit. This can make a world of difference. And, not all shin pain is shin splits. It depends on where your pain is located. Also: I have ankles that roll in (like fallen arches/flat feet). See this: http://www.pedikom.com/httpdocs/symptomsPronation.php Orthotics - even over-the-counter…

Name-brand, 24 hour Allegra works very well for me. I have severe allergies (getting allergy shots) and have needed my Epi-Pen 3 times in the last 7 months (long story.) I take the 24 hour name- brand Allegra at bedtime and wake up feeling close to normal. Best of luck.

Pediatric clinics calibrate their scales, but I'd bet money most adult medicine providers don't. I think weighing yourself on the same scale/same location will give more consistent data.

I'm here! I'm from the east coast, but I love living in slc. Not a Mormon, but my husband and I have found some good friends here.

This. I credential physicians as part of my job. My understanding is that malpractice insurance (required for all licensed professionals in my state) does not extend to these limits...

Ibuprofen is great, but last I checked was only approved for kiddos over 6months. Maybe? :)

Totally worth it. With ZERO family history of anything like this, both of my girls have PKU. One classic and one just "hyperphe." My oldest daughter was the only child in our (western) state diagnosed that year and my younger daughter was one of two. Complete and utter shock. However, with intervention and vegan diets…

Oh. Dear. God. (Disclaimer: I work in medicine) Please, please, please seek the advice of a *board certified* endocrinologist/thyroidologist. They exist for a reason.

Congratulations! That is an impressive accomplishment!

No evidence here at all, but a couple of my employees have said that Mederma and/or Scar Away helped. Particularly if you are diligent about using it. Good luck

I use my elliptical for the high intensity interval training mentioned earlier. I do that for 20-30 mins 3-4 times a week + strength training.

Red wine, a glass nightly. Perhaps two on the weekends. Or when I need to tamp down the desire to toss people off the roof ;)

I don't keep kosher - at least not the way my grandmother meant it! I do my best. But I live in Utah ;)

Sugar, pick one thing. Just one. Start there. We'll help. Twins sound like my version of hell on earth - so props to you there. Can't imagine what your sleep quality was for the first 4-5 years. Mine come one at a time, but they are broken and our first few years are spent making sure everyone survives. (Supportive hugs…
