Your macros will differ depending on your exact brands, etc but mine breaks out as follows: Calories 285 51% carbs - 36g 36% protein - 26g 13% fat - 4g 4g fiber 2x vitamin A for the day

Great! That's one of the ones I'm trying.

I will point out again that meal replacement can be tricky because whole foods are best. If your meal replacement includes foods, like mine, aside from the powder you mix in water, you should be fine. Ok here it goes. I will tell you this is super healthy, tast-I-licious and feels sinful to have every single morning for…

Ok here it goes. I will tell you this is super healthy, tast-I-licious and feels sinful to have every single morning for breakfast. I used to have a lot of symptoms from IBS until I introduced this into my diet. Now I have zero. No bloating, no constipation, no cramps. Ever. Keeps me going all morning! 1/2 cup canned…

I just checked it out. $1.99 each sample, free shipping. They have PUDDING. I'm ordering a few to try...2 protein powders and 1 pudding. Wish me luck. Says it takes two weeks.

Like pumpkin pie flavored things?

I typically replace breakfast with a smoothie. Pumpkin pie specifically. Can't get enough. Sinful that it tastes so good and is so healthy for me. As long as you are still getting enough real food throughout the day, I see nothing wrong with replacing a meal with a protein shake, smoothie, etc.

Very awesome tip. Thanks so much

Bump lol

What about carb cycling? Does that even work and how do you do it?

Getting started is the hardest part. I always tell people not to shock the system. If you turn on the light switch to be healthy, you will just as easily turn it off when you get discouraged. List your goals and take it one week at a time. This is not a diet. Not a quick fix. Who cares if it takes you three months to go…

Yes I am counting everything. I chalked it up to stress when it was all done. I am confident with my ability to lose and making sure i'm doing everything right. I'm very educated in the science behind our food and workouts. I was just curious - when you get in a rut, what helps you keep going? Leave those brownies and grab…

when i get stuck with an activity i can't find, i usually google and use a few calculators and then use the average. It's not perfect, but if you want exact you'll need a HRM.

try other online activity calculators and then manually add your entry.

I agree with FatFree (nice name btw  It is so important that you measure and weigh your food. I guarantee you are incorrectly estimating your caloric intake - and men are usually ones to over-estimate their calories (women the opposite - we love to underestimate). If you are doing either, it can severely damper your…

I guess we all would need a little bit more information on your nutritional routines to really understand why you might feel hungry all the time. In my life, I have eaten 1 of 2 ways: clean and perfect (6-7 small meals a day) and horrible (1-2 giant meals a day separated by coffee coffee coffee). When I eat clean, 6-7…

My guess - you aren't eating nearly enough if you are correctly tracking your calories (both food and activity). Increase your caloric intake by 250 calories every 1-2 weeks and watch how your body responds. I would think your maintenance calories as a man would be well over 2,000 calories a day. Add on all that exercise…

I will be blogging about my Insanity experience here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/mumma2boyz I don't follow the Insanity meal plan, but I have been eating very clean and within the recommended calories of their plan. I focus mostly on my protein intake. When eating clean, the other macros seem to fall in line within…

I feel your pain. I feel guilty complaining about the wardrobe issue since most people look at me like "I wish I had that problem." It's very bittersweet. Obviously we are all feeling great about our transformations, but the extra expense for new clothes can sometimes mean sacrificing elsewhere in your life. Going from a…

Good sources of protein (non-meat): Edamame beans eggs Whey protein shakes Milk Soy Protein Bars you don't like chicken?

Those are just guidelines. Try to gear your food choices to the ratios provided to ensure you are getting a balanced diet. I eat 80-100g protein per day. As long as you don't go over your calories...you will be fine :)
-
If you're in this for the long haul...a transformation over time, you want to look at losing 1% of your bodyweight per week. Losing more than that is most likely muscle loss...and you dont want that :) If you lost 8 lbs I one week, it was most likely a majority of water weight but thats good because it means your body is…

I hear ya sistah! You just need to change your hunger clock. I used to go all day without eating...literally. if I ate before 7pm, it wasn't before noon! Lol. The first two weeks I ate breakfast, I felt like I would vomit. Water in the mouth n stomach turning. I would take it one bite at a time....swallowing it down and…

We all have our vices honey. I am a smoker....I have quit many times. But everytime I had that "ONE"...it lead to buying a pack and here I am. I am proud of you for recognizing your weaknesses and avoiding the temptation. I used to hate water...but now I cannot get enough of it. Mostly plain, but sometimes I will throw a…
