Both true. I never really took in account people's sizes, etc. But that makes total sense. You hear "8 cups a day" but sometimes don't really think more into it, I never did.
-
I'm with you!
-
I've never heard of it.
-
I had a nay sayer on a post about why do you drink a gallon of water in a day. They asked me if their answer was good enough for me. Some people on here, they amaze me.

Anything to help! lol
-
Thought it had something to do with that.
-
I've always heard body builders dehydrate..and I figured that many muscles needed more water anyway.
-
Makes total sense for you. 62 miles, that's awesome!
-
I can understand and believe that.
-
I have to pee about twice between each glass...having a desk job and having to let the other secretary know I need to go so she can cover for me, gosh...I bet they wonder if I have a bladder infection lol
-
That's very true about getting hydrated from food.
-
You tell me. If you're thirsty, you're thirsty. I guess I mean those that aim to drink that much ahead of time.
-
I try to pace myself...a glass every hour to two hours maybe. After a run when it's warm, I drink a glass or two within 30 minutes.
-
Goodness!!
-
Each person is different, that is for sure. I guess 8 is an estimate for people to hover around.
-
I figured it was because with so many muscles they require more water...that when they're in competition they dehydrate so their muscles will pop.
-
Well like you said, you're bigger than me and that might contribute to it. I guess since I can barely get 64 ounces in it just seems like a TON of water. Like I'd be drowning.
-
hahaha I thought body builders because that's who I'm used to seeing with jugs of water.

Agreed. As long as my urine is clear and I'm not thirsty, I'm good. Trying to hit a gallon a day when not thirsty and urine is clear, I just couldn't do it.
