My Daily Calories have fluctuated since I started. It's been just over 2300 when I was over 300 lbs. to close to 1200 in between. I set it to 1660 back in August, when I was burning and extra 1000 Calories per day, every other day. I don't like eating back my workout Calories, but I'm okay going over on a few. I just…

It could also be muscle weight. Measure yourself, take pictures, keep at it. You'll get it off.

I started noticing after 25 lbs. Now, all pounds are not the same. If you are not losing fat, you're not going to see it happen. Then again, you can lose 10 lbs. in 3 weeks and your body may take another 2 weeks to give up the slack. Everyone's different though.

HI, my name is Christina. My goal is 162 lbs. That's a loss of 162 lbs. I have lost about 70. I've been working out and getting my activity in. I have changed a lot of things. I have changed my diet drastically over the last 3 years. However, I have found that I am slipping. I eat right, then have a snack that's not…

I would go by the MFP guided goals, instead of going to 800 Calories. Less than 1500 Calories per day for a man is not really healthy, and is it really worth killing your liver to lose weight fast? You can't replace that one. In any case, I started running when I was just under 300. I love to run. I run more now than I did…

There is such a thing as drinking too much water, and you don't want to die that way. It should not be more than half your weight, unless you are dehydrate, and even then you should be careful.

* Activity Tracker * heart rate monitor * my exercise-crazy dog and her sneakers (say exercise and she's at the door) * 2 pairs of running shoes (alternate, buy at different times to allow for breaking in) * gym membership * Ball chair at work * walking measures circles in front of my house thanks to MapMyFitness and…

I bought one, and decided to return it after 30 minutes. The HR portion was iffy at best. It looked cheap, and that's saying a lot since I had a Flex. It's like a poor impostor pretending to be Flex's rich cousin. I like Fitbit, but this was disappointing. I would rather by another Flex. I use PEAR for HRM, and I like it.…

I don't know what to make of this subject, actually. That is probably why I am reading these posts. I have always been confident, and my friends and acquaintances have commented on this occasionally. However, whether 132 lbs. or 324 lbs. or anywhere in between, I don't remember a time when I didn't have "a shortage of men…

I was not sure how to enter this into MFP, but I tried to redo my goal and just set it to Active, and the same numbers as the website suggested came up! I will give it a try. I do go to the gym 3-5 times a week and burn about 1000 kCal per workout, plus I usually work between 5-7000 steps per day on the other days. I hope…

Thank you!

I current use a FitBit Flex and a PEAR HRM. I truly love my Flex (it's changed my life) and I also have a FitBit Aria scale. However, I'm considering a shift to the Garmin VivoSmart. I hear lots of great things about the VivoFit, but I think the VivoSmart would be a better fit for me. I love the PEAR system, so I'll…

This made me think of one think I am glad about being fat. See, life itself is a learning process; if you don't live through some things, you don't learn anything. So, being fat in a family of fat people, and being tall in a family of short people, I have learned that you have to just accept yourself as you are right now,…

(1) I am tall, and it's hard enough to find long enough sleeves and pants, but to find them in plus sizes... practically impossible, especially if you can't afford to spend $100 for a pair of pants. I hate shopping to begin with, and this made it even worse. (2) Seeing myself in pictures or the mirror. Because the person…

Congratulations! That is an awesome story. As someone who struggles with depression, i understand who it must have been very difficult to push yourself out of the rut. It is quite commendable. You should be very proud, yet very vigilant. Best wishes.

HI! I'm Christina. I have been around for a while. In the last 1.5 years I have lost close to 50 lbs. I still have 107 to lose. I started at 312 lbs., and my goal is 155 lbs. - though that may change if I find it to be too much, as I am tall. I do have some pretty great friends here, but a girl can always use some more…

I am 34 and 5’10”. I am disabled, obese (have lost 40 out of 157 lb. goal), and I have a rare thyroid condition and PCOS (both of which make it a struggle to lose weight). After not working for 6 years, I got myself together and rejoined the workforce over 2 years ago. About a year after that, I was feeling back to myself…

Getting lightheaded while exercising does not necessarily mean that you are not eating enough. It could be that you are not breathing properly, or are not drinking enough water. It could be that you are overheating. It can also happen if you are exercising excessively after a period of relative rest (trying to run for 1…

I have costochondritis since about 15 months ago (an inflammation of a rib or the cartilage connecting a rib) and around the same time I got an abdominal tear on my left side, by my ribs. Needless to say, it was painful, and sometimes it still is. At first I was concerned something was really bad, but then the 3rd doctor…

I just got my Fitbit Flex on May 7, and have been wearing it since. I love it! I had been tracking my activity with an ActiveLink while I was doing WeightWatchers, but that was very arbitrary, like the Points. Then, I was using the FitBit app on my iPhone 5S, which wasn't too accurate as I didn't keep my phone on me 24/7.…

I see the girl in the mirror, but that's not the girl in my head. I act accordingly. It's not arrogance or aloofness; I am confident and comfortable keeping myself company. I like to knit, and I actually love to exercise (at the gym, because I don't like the outdoors).
-
You are probably not eating enough. If you don't eat enough, your body goes into starvation mode, and saves almost everything you eat. Thus, eat less gain weight.

Before I joined in 2012, I would eat at least one Burger King TenderCrisp Chicken Sandwich combo per week. Now, I know how awful a choice that was. Back in 2006, I probably had two (2) of those most days! If I must eat at Burger King now, I usually have a Whopper Jr. No fries, period.
