Sounds completely sensible to me. Well done!! I refuse to live by the number on a scale alone, that's why I take measurements and chart those. :o) (If you must have a sneaky peak, then one every two weeks won't hurt.)

 Dinner, Glass of Wine and Tron Legacy on the BluRay in 7.1 Surround. (Housemate is out, and I need the noise to drown out the neighbours terrible keyboard playing and dreadful singing. )

I was wondering the other day how accurate my Digi Scales were, bathroom is a tiled floor, but in a 191x something house, so I grabbed 3 different bar-bell weights, and put them on, letting the scale power off each time. each weight registered correctly (within 100g/3.5oz) Quite chuffed with that, I prefer using…

ok, I wonder how many people have worn a BodyBugg (US) / KiFit (UK) to find just this kind of thing out? *note to self, next time keep the armband on!* <chuckle>

Smoked Salmon, 0 carbs, low fats, 20g protein and 120 calories in 100g.

Have some good quality carbs 30-60 minutes before exercising, and keep yourself hydrated. I workout first thing in the morning, so have oatmeal before I leave for the gym and then get through about 1L of water while working out. Also, make sure you breathe correctly. I have a tendancy to hold my breath, so when I do…

As a bloke, you should be on a minimum 1400 per day, but a lot depends on your BMR and Activity level. Starving your body now is only going to hinder you later on, it's the mistake I made last year. As for feeling hungry, put a high-protein snack in there mid-morning and mid-afternoon. ( I find 100g of smoked salmon is…

Once again it all comes down to the choices you make. I have a 6" Sweet Onion and Chicken Teriyaki, no cheese, toasted, with onion and olives and sweet onion sauce. Not bad for 360ish calories, sometimes I'll go for double meat and make it 500 calories. Nice, tasty, low fat option. You don't have to have cheese, you don't…

iPhone 4, had it since it was released. Can't wait for the iPhone 5 later in the year.

I use Axe (or Lynx as it's known in the UK), or Sure for Men, or Adidas Sport.

I have oatmeal for breakfast before my workout, and then a protein shake immediately after. I then have a high-protein snack around 11ish (100g of Smoked Salmon with some lemon juice and fresh black pepper). My shakes tend to be very plain though (vanilla or chocolate flavour), 25g portion of powder made with water. That…

Again and again we see this in statement in posts, so once again, Muscle does NOT weigh more than fat. A lb of muscle weighs the same as a lb pound of fat, just the same as a ton of feathers weighs the same as a ton of lead. It is more dense than fat, therefore takes up less volume. This is a good thing. You need to add…

Me to! Me to! Me to! Me to! Me to! Me to! Me to! Me to! Had a few months off from MFP, started back with Diet and the Gym etc on Wednesday. Feel free to add me too :o)

Smoked Salmon. High Protein, next to no carbs, and low calorie too.

I measure my chest, waist (at the belly button), both biceps, both thighs and both calves. My bathroom scale very seldom works, and I'm lucky if I can weigh myself once a month which is fine by me. I learned first-hand in September to not stress over the physical number on the scale. I was working out 4 times a week with a…

Also, take some physical measurments if you aren't doing so already. Chest, Waist, Biceps, Thighs etc. I was working out like a demon in September, only dropped 2lbs in 20 days, but lost 5cm around the waist.

If you have the means buy a KiFit (UK) or BodyBugg (US). That will accurately keep a track of your calorie burn throughout the day.

It can be annoying. I tend to take what it says on the packet over what's in the Database already as people can sometimes make errors when adding their own foods and sharing them with the rest of the community. Sometimes I just add the food as a new item in the database, even if it already appears.

Careful with adding too much fruit, especially apples, pears etc, as these tend to be quite high in sugars and can send your carbs through the roof. Instead switch to berries (Blueberries\Raspberries and Blackberries) If you want to add some protein in there without taking a hit on carbs, then cooked chicken breast (no…

Check your water and sodium intake, and also make sure your replacement calories come from mostly protein and not carbs.
