A calorie deficit does work on every other part of my body before belly fat. I have genetics against me. I've started working on my core, like planks, hoping that helps a little bit extra. I love both the treadmill and elliptical but my belly fat doesn't seem to change after prolonged use.

I'm currently a size 10. Anything that is 14 and up I get rid of. I like options just in case I gain a few pounds and if I get into a size 12 pants is when I start planning how to lose the weight. Any additional size up (unless for photos of progress) gives me personally the idea my weight loss isn't permanent.

Congratulations for your path of being healthier! When first losing weight it's normal to drop the pounds. What gets a lot of people frustrated is when you hit the plateaus and you don't really lose more than a couple pounds in a month. Your body will keep changing as long as you don't get frustrated when you don't lose…

I'm amazed with the positive support, I will welcome new friends any day! Like minds need to stick together. :)

It's refreshing to read everyone's post because it shows that no two people have the same exact needs. I'm also pleased to see that most people aren't interested in bashing someone's eating habits! Thank you all for restoring my interest with my fitness pal. I also want to thank the old friends that I have because you guys…

I was shocked to learn how many calories are in a Costco muffin. It's over 600 calories for any of them!

Thank you! I've noticed this since I was in elementary school... A very long time ago... lol I would pack what I should, but I was rarely full. Thank you for your comment, I'm starting to think I may have the same issue as you. I felt like eating a large dinner would contribute to my weight gain. I don't know for certain.

It's not old fashion. I agree that it's a personal choice. The concept of marriage is changing and some people think it's old fashion because of that change. However, being married does show stability in a relationship. That is a plus for you, your spouse, and your potential children. As far as waiting, that's again, a…

I'm right with you. I have 35lbs to go. If I'm the way I am this week, every week, I might make it.

Add me as well! I started this about a week ago, and it has been going great. I start University of Washington Tacoma on Monday, (Junior year) and I don't know how I'm going to balance everything out. I know there will be days where I want to just hang out with friends and eating/drinking crap! Not to mention the "brain…

Thank you for your advice. If I'm still up in an hour or so, I will see if I have anything good to snack on. :) If not, I will shoot to get as close to 0 as I can.

I had a nurse at my doc's office tell me how the Starbucks Green Tea diet works. It's not that I don't believe her, but that didn't seem to be the healthy way to lose weight.

You can add me too. :)

I met my husband 10 years ago in an internet chat room.

Your eyes. :)

I also agree. I just started, but I had always suspected my weight gain has been from what I've been drinking. Because of the honesty with my diary, I'm able to see the "small" things that added up to my weight gain.
