You look great! I'm 5'4 and I'd love to be at 145 now.

Same. It is much harder to lose the weight, so I'm paying more attention to getting fit. Focusing on the measuring tape more than the scale. Tried hormone therapy early on and my period returned. Noooo way! I was done with that, so I quit taking it and it's all been good.

I'm going to start doing this.... I suffer from sodium fluctuation in the worst way.

Right there with ya. Logged my gain this morning. Ugh! But, I am getting right back on track. Don't let it get you down, as others have said in the past, weight loss is not linear, there are going to be ups and downs. Good Luck!

Didn't gain any weight on Lexapro. If anything I stopped nervous eating. Good Luck! Valerie

That's really interesting, I can't wait to do it.

Wouldn't you lose weight by eating between your BMR and TDEE? I usually end up eating a bit above my BMR and still lose weight unless I've exercised a lot, then I eat more. I make it a point to not to go below the BMR.

I think it would be better to get something like a Fitbit Activity Monitor. It is a useful gadget and gives you a daily calorie burn. However, it does not accurately count cycling and other non-walking type exercises (or elliptical for that matter) I Love mine! It keeps me striving for more steps everyday.

This is what I've decided is the best course lately. The scale is a fickle thing, the tape measure, not so much.

^^This. Additionally, a good tailor or seamstress is your best friend. It's amazing what they can do to a garment to make it fit perfectly for one's shape. Take it from a shorty with curves; it's well worth the money.

Your post comes at the exact moment I needed it! Thank you! You are so right that the scale is not the big indicator of our progress. Perhaps I'll start letting people take pictures of me again and go shopping. :flowerforyou: We have to love ourselves at every stage and be proud of each little victory. Love your pictures!

I Zumba occasionally, and to be honest my HRM only gives me at 375 calorie burn, tops. Haarumph! It's difficult to get a good calorie burn out of dance classes if you are not familiar with the routines. So, I will not give up spinning. That said, it is fun, and yes everyone looks spastic and are happy when they leave. For…

It will also depend on your foot and what material you prefer. Do a Google search and see what people with similar feet have to say. I'm on my third pair (went all Goldilocks with the shoes). The Rykas that I got online have been the best since they have a wide toe box. I've tried traditional dance shoes and they were…
