43, want to loose a stone in weight, i have heart disease that runs in my family and recently my blood pressure has been very high, so that has kick started my healthy eating and more exercise as i dont want to be put on medication for it, so far itβs starting to come down, its still high but getting there

@HoneyBadger302 , glad the interview went well, fingers crossed you get the job I too have not had a good start, the scales have gone up a little which is not great but i am logging better and have cut back so hoping this week i start to see a downward change , good luck everyone , we can do this!!!!

Hello, i am the same, iv been on and off here for a while, wanting to loose weight will loose a couple of pounds and then start eating freely and forgetting and now iv put on a stone in weight , im not fat but my clothes are uncomfortable and i dont feel comfortable in my own skin, so things are changing as of today, wentβ¦

I started c25k in september of last year not being able to run for a minute i can now run for 40 minutes without stopping, put your trust in the app, if you feel you have to repeat weeks then do so, but it really helped me!!

I ran 25 minutes on the treadmill, 10 minutes on the rower and then 10 minutes of weight training

I started couch to 5k last September and before then i could not run for a minute without feeling sick!, but that app helped and now i can run a 5k, i may be slow but i can do it and you can too!!

I find the weekends the hardest to keep my eating under control, i do get my food shopping delivered and this helps me from picking up random bits i dont need, i try and get out and about and give myself jobs to do to keep me busy as when i sit down i begin wanting to eat even when I'm not hungry!! good luck I'm sure youβ¦

I go to the gym and only concentrate mostly on the cardio and some of the strength machines, i really want to try the free weights but it all looks so scary, luckily my friend has joined and know a bit about the weight section she is going to give me some pointers on what to do!!

I have a fit bit and an apple watch, i love them both, but the apple watch has to be charged every day as it runs out of battery very quickly, my gut instinct would be to go with fitbit, i like how you can enter challenges with other users!!

I done leg day yesterday, leg press, lunges and squats, I'm finding my legs rather stiff today, but no pain, no gain!!

Get your gym gear on and head to the gym!!, I sometimes go to the gym with my husband and we do our own thing but the last few weeks iv been going on my own, at first i felt nervous but now its habit, you will feel so proud of yourself once you step foot in the door!!

I eat the Quaker ready oats with dried fruits and use semi skimmed milk and cook it in the microwave, it keeps me full till lunch

I also work with children and have constant colds, i recently joined the gym and have noticed that since joining the gym my colds don't last as long as they did before and can get over them quicker, maybe its just coincidence but i think working out has defiantly helped!!

I truly thought i would not be able to run for 20 mins when i was on that same week, i was given good advice in push through and do it but slow your pace down, and it really did help, the achievement you will feel when you have completed the 20 mins will be incredible , if you do it and you feel you can't go on just slowβ¦

Took a week out , just completed week 6 day 3, 25 mins run straight, as i got half way through i felt like i was running on air, such a great feeling!!

Thankyou, In my head i know that i did not over eat but when you see the scales go up and the effort you put in, makes you feel defeated!!

Im on week 6 and will be doing day 2 today, the dreaded 20 mins was not as bad as i first thought!!!

Im currently doing couch to 5k app, I'v finished week 4 day 3, iv managed to run for 5 mins without stopping, before i could not run for 30 secs without being out of breath, such a great app!!

week 4 day 3 complete!! onto week 5 tomorrow, iv heard that this week it starts to get intense, how il be able to run for 20 minutes I'm not to sure!!!

around two years ago i lost over a stone in weight, i used MFP to log, i used my scales i went to the gym and the weight fell of of me i was so proud of myself, i loved being in size 10 jeans, i got to my target, i started to slip on the weighing my food, i gradually stopped going to the gym and began eating like there wasβ¦

Iv just completed week 1 day 3, i started in January as i took part in the 5k muddy run for cancer , i only got half way through the app at the start of the year , i joined the gym this week and have been doing the app on the treadmill, Im looking forward to being able to complete it!!

I too when i first joined MFP i was given around 1400 cals a day to eat, at first a lost a bit but then id find was not loosing , i bought a Fitbit and it gave me way more calories than what MFP gave me to start with, i was scared to eat all of the calories and did not believe i should be eating so much but after a fewβ¦
