It's not muscle. Your weight is going to fluctuate from time to time. If your caloric limit is correct and you are accurately measuring your calories you are losing body fat. Ditch the scales, take progress pictures and take measurements of your body. p.s. BMR is a load of crap.

I count my macros, and going to the gym to lift things above my head and then i sit on a bike and pedal for 10-20 minutes.

My training philosophy is this. Every time I step in the gym, use heavier weight or do more reps than last time. If doing 12 reps is easy on my first set, I up my weight.

Taking any medication? How long after you exercise do you try to go to sleep? General rule of thumb is to create a "winding down" routine. Turn off the lights, don't look at your phone or your computer, make sure the room is cool and make sure your bed is comfortable.

Do you see any red/purple marks on your chest? Sounds to me like you pulled the muscle in your chest. If you had torn it you would be all purple and looking rad. You over did it buddy, enjoy your week off and next time take it easy when doing dips. Remember Form > Weight.

Here's the truth: HRMs are useless and don't really offer you much if you're an average user looking to lose a bit of weight. Don't worry about it. As long as your calorie limit is good, you're working out consistently and thoroughly you will lose weight. Don't be put off by some fancy watch.
