I am a pear shape, am about 60 lbs from the goal my doctor agreed with, and I have a thigh gap. I know I've got extra fat on my thighs, but I still have the gap. My point being I think the gap is attributed to the way your body distributes fat and muscle. I don't exercise much at this point. In fact, my doctor is asking me…

I was you right before my high blood pressure diagnosis. I did not think I could live without salt. I would get salted french fries from McDonalds, salt them again, and heavily salt the ketchup in which I dipped them. I salted everything. When my doctor gave me the ultimatum to consume below 2500 mg sodium, I didn't think…

I have the same experience. Before I had it removed, I couldn't eat fatty foods without immense pain, but now I can eat whatever I want and gain/lose like expected.

Tofu!! High in protein, low in calories, and great taste. :)

OK, well I have to agree with this. The vet told me that she wouldn't gain weight if she didn't eat more and exercise less...the vet said that mirtazapine merely makes her want to eat more.

I agree...mirtazapene has been prescribed for one of my dogs to help her gain weight.

About eating healthy foods...just switch over gradually...and read labels. I eat a low-sodium diet (for high blood pressure and migraine prevention) and am vegan. 10 years ago, if you told me I would be living like this...I would say "YOU'RE CRAZY!!" But here I am, and I enjoy my food far more than I ever had. It tastes…

I like tofu. I get a couple of different flavors of pre-cooked and flavored tofu from Trader Joe's and eat one as a snack every day. 16 g of protein in the flavor I brought today. I cook tofu with onions and place it all on a bed of lettuce sometimes for supper and it is usually over 30 g protein. I also like lentil bean…

Looking forward to seeing some replies to this thread. Low fat recipes with sweet potatoes would be great. Right now, I just bake a sweet potato and add some feta cheese. It is good, but I need variety. :)

From the log entries I've read, I see two big problems -- you don't eat vegetables. You do great with fruit, but you really need to eat five servings of veggies each day. If you can't do that immediately, try for two servings and then work your way up to five. Also, I see days where you don't get close to eating the…

I read today on a health blog that the two main culprits of no energy during a weight loss program are lack of sleep and dehydration. Are you getting in 8 hours of sleep and drinking at least 8 C water daily?

^^^^This!!! I would open up a dialogue with him. Then you can solve the issue, and make your marriage even stronger. I think you look adorable. I doubt he is ashamed of you. :)

This!!! You are young, so it is easier to lose. Also, being young makes it more likely that you will have a flat belly when you lose the rest of your weight, or shortly thereafter.
