  • I know you said to forget the workout bra, but I have large breasts as well and have always struggled with this issue as well. My solution is to wear a good underwire bra, a tight sports bra, AND a workout top with a good built in bra. The 3 bras keeps my gals in check, and I'm able to partake in my favorite exercises like…
  • I've done 3 levels of pole, and looooove it! Each level takes lasts about 2 months, and I've just started inversions (going upside down) at the end of the 3rd level. Keep in mind, I'm only going once a week - I'm not quite dedicated enough to install a pole in my house quite yet!
  • When I reached my goal weight in November, I re-evaluated my goals too. I lost 25 in 2014, and I'm now looking to drop another 8-10lb but my loss has been drastically slower and I've only lost 3lb since December. It's definitely good to re-evaluate, but when you do re-set your goal, don't get discouraged with a slower loss!
  • As everyone else has mentioned, I didn't lose a size until I hit my 20lb weight loss mark. I'm now down 25lb & the new size is starting to get a bit loose. It definitely can be discouraging to not lose sizes, but I've noticed that even clothes of the same size look different (and better!) as I lose weight. Keep it up!
  • 25lb I lost the weight from Feb-Nov 2014 but really watching what I was eating, and by drinking loads of tea to keep my hands and mouth busy, as well as hydrate me!
  • Start small! I ultimately thought I could never reach 150, and now that I have, I'm going for another 10lb down, and will then reevaluate. At the end of the day, it's what you feel happy with, not what's "normal" for your height.
  • I lost 20lb in my first 6 months, but since have only lost 5lb as I've reached my initial goal weight. I'm hoping to lose another 5-10lb in 2015, but know it will come off considerably slower as I have less to lose, and can't lower my calorie intake (currently at 1200/day)
  • I like to weigh myself each day. It keeps me focused and helps me keep track which items I've eaten the previous two days that contribute to scale movement (up or down - typically shows high vs low sodium items).
  • I've lost 25 lb over the past 10 months, and I noticed the most change in the last 10lbs. Even when the scale wasn't moving quickly, my shape was changing. Slow and steady!
  • 1. Drink tea. Lots of tea (mostly green and herbal) 2. Track food - meticulously! 3. Don't panic if the scale goes up. What goes up must come down!
  • One of my go-tos is peices of deli ham, rolled with pineapple (and cheese if I need the calories)! Delicious! Can be done with chicken (rolled with peppers and carrots) or anything you can imagine.
  • There's lots of frozen foods that are low calorie and delicious! Living in Canada, I have M & M meat shops that has tons of low cal chicken, soups, veggies, etc. Otherwise I'd agree with everyone's advice regarding a slow cooker and preparation! Other easy go-tos for me are quesadillas, omelettes, and soups.
  • I've never had a problem with my IUD - no weight gain (with actual weight loss for the first time in yeearrs). It really depends on your body!
  • I got dumbells for Christmas and have been using them every day. Working on the back and arm area primarily, but am excited to expand my workouts!
  • For me the "trick" was finding healthier options for what I like to eat. Instead of movie popcorn, I'll bring roasted kale chips. Instead of jelly beans, I'll have almonds. And water, water, water!
  • I've gone from 174 to 153 since March on mostly diet alone (added more walking and small at-home workouts in once I got my fitbit). For me the key is really watching the calories as well as the ingredients in food I'm eating. Best of luck! :drinker:
  • Congrats on your loss! I'm 20lb down since March, and most of the feedback I've received is positive. My closest friends say they're disappointed I no longer have quite the bust I used to, but I'm sure they'll get used to it haha!
  • mmmmm yes! My favorite is califlower with garlic hummus
  • I did a few months of strict no processed sugar. I could eat fruit, but no fructose, white sugar, etc. While I have stopped it now, I found it made me very aware of what I was putting in my body! It was hard, especially for the first few weeks, but once you get in to the routine and you understand what you can and can't…
  • Well if you want to know the right way to lose weight, it is a calorie deficit. Weigh out your food, eat 1200 a day, and exercise (cardio and lifiting). Be patient! You're not going to drop 5 lb overnight. If you want a fast way to lose weight, start cutting off limbs. Any regime you get on to to lose weight as quickly as…
  • I've lost 18lb on 1200 but have been eating maintenance for the past 2 months. It definitely works, but you really have to watch your food and condiments - every little bit adds up!
  • I've lost 18 lb thus far since the beginning of my journey, and I too was frustrated that I haven't dropped in pant sizes. Although I must admit clothes do fit me better (less muffin tops!). Although my tops have gone from a large to a medium in most cases (OF COURSE my boobs went before my belly! :grumble: )
  • I recently went on a vacation with my boyfriend's family - all of whom are big eaters (all over 6', lots of beer and wings). I managed to not gain a pound, but I by no means held back at meal times either! I found I didn't have time to log my food, but made a conscious effort to pick the healthier of the indulgent options.…
  • califlower and hummus is one of my favs!
  • It's all about what works for you and being reasonable about your goals. For myself, I've lost 15 lb in 4 months at 1200-1500 per day. At an average of 0.75/week, it's been relatively steady so I feel as though my calories are working for me. Don't hate, appreciate!
  • It's all about the long term changes not the short term - better make it enjoyable!
  • I started walking for 30-40 min each morning during the week as of last Monday and it's AWESOME! Wakes me up, gets me moving, I'm alert and ready to take on the day when I'm done. I fully recommend it!
  • Today for me I'll be having spinach salad with salmon!
