Thats inspiring enough for me. I think its actually harder to get over the lazyness without some big life changing scare to kick you in the butt. Just deciding 'no, enough!' for me is harder to do.

Firstly you should weight in once a week, at the same time with the same clothes on or naked and before/after the same meal. This gives you a constant baseline to measure against. You can poo 2lb so a fluctuation of 0.6 is nothing. If you're female then certain times of the month can bloat you. I weigh in Sunday mornings…

I started this before MFP so i'll post up the stats from my spreadsheet (it has a pretty progress graph and everything!) 11 weeks so far. Started on September 2nd 2012. I get the Cliché comments about being an older gamer! In a gaming lobby I can be talking to friends about my kids or wife or job etc and some 12 year old will be like 'hey grandad you shouldnt be playing COD, you're too old!' I'm 28.... And by the way little kids, i've been playing COD since COD3 and I can school your…

On Sundays I'm around 800 calories, Mondays over 1000 burned (Basketball game) and tuesday, wednesday and thurs between 500 and 800 generally (basketball practice, P90X). Normally after an 800-1000 burn the next day i'm ravenous! I train late at night so it hits me the next day and i feel like i could eat everything. I…

You need to see a doctor. Lots of good advice here and lots of counter arguements from you. I'd suggest you need to see a professional (or you're an internet troll). EIther way see a doctor

just go whenever you have time and when you feel like it. Some people say morning workouts are the best as they kickstart a higher metabolism to get you through the day, personally i only have time to go at night, after 7 when the kids are in bed otherwise its not fair on my wife if she has all the childcare all the time.

personally i'd log the 222. The weight will only fluctuate back once you take on your daily meals, water etc. If you log that bigger loss today you'll only be logging a smaller loss/no loss next week. Its up to you!

ring them up now and ask? this way your parents will never know and you may be able to prearrange a vegan friendly dish with them.

I've decided im not going to buy any games or consoles until the real next gen is out (xbox and PS launch). Then i'll see which has the better social gaming platform and which console my collective group of friends buys and i'll get that one. I was glad i switched from PS2 to X360 and i've more than got my use out of it! 5…

Mine was £25 (about $35?) It has up to 8 profiles. you input your age, gender, height etc. Then it measures weight accurately (i've checked against some old fashioned balance scales) and does Body fat % and water %. I dont listen to the water bit and im pretty sure the body fat calculation is just based on the simple…

i'm not there yet dude but i'd welcome fellow maintenance friends on here for when i do get there. At the current rate it'll be 3 months but i think it'll slow so i'm looking more like 6.

In my own experience I found that the metrics set out for me didnt help me lose weight. at 1400 or less without eating exercise cals I wasnt losing. I was actually losing sleep which was strange for me! Then at this intake plus eating exercise calories i was ok. Then i tried 2000 without eating exercise cals and the loss…

This thursday will be my 2 year mark. I couldnt do the weight loss and quitting at the same time but some people can. What helped me quit was looking at my bank balance! i filtered off the money i would have spent on cigarettes into a savings account and watched it grow rapidly. I then started to overpay my mortgage on…

Its the natural walk up towards christmas and its really hard to break. Just think to yourself if you manage to get through christmas and maintain/lose then you will truly be the master in your food and exercise relationship. My goal is to make it through christmas with pure determination. Next year will be the year i…

You will have hard days mate. You need to find something you love doing that you can do at any time as a 'pick me up' that isnt food. For me if im having a bad day i grab an hour to myself and either read, have a long bath or go on a less stressful xbox game (COD makes me want to kill young teenagers, no honestly!) Find…

I eventually discovered that I had to stop looking for excuses for myself not to do things and just do them, thats how i personally broke the cycle. The issue is with depression its hard to listen to that from somebody else. I never used to listen to people that'd say 'snap out of it' but in the end thats exactly what I…

My ultimate strength training is pullups. Its just something…

I'm the same but sometimes i 'sell' my saved calories for alcohol or a meal out. I'm 60 days in and 20lbs but it doesnt even feel like a diet, i'm just more informed on choice and i'm loving the exercise and weight lifting! well done to you. keep up the good work

It makes you look so much younger too Kamal!! Amazing achievement. Congratulations!

Mate you look amazing. In a completely no homo way..

You need to go and see a doctor. Getting a bunch of internet opinions will not be the best option for your health! Self diagnosis is not a good thing although its increasing in commonality. You really need to go and see a professional and get their opinion. All the best! I hope its nothing serious

Swimming (in my opinion) is one of the best ways to lose weight and get fit. It takes a massive level of fitness to be able to swim a long distance or for a long time. It uses lots of different muscles (it wont build them but it'll keep them toned). I havent managed to do much swimming but i really enjoy it when i do.

Personally its been 1-2% every month for me and thats with an average weight loss of 10lbs per month. It'll slow down at some point though I weight train 3-4 times a week and do 2-3 intense cardio days. Intake is 1800 calories (6'1 male weighing 255lbs currently)

just keep counting! it'll take you ages to find the healthy options especially if its unknown food to you but be patient and find the calorie count. Also remember you're walking all day so that helps.
