My approach: 1. Get in a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise 3-5 days per week. 2. Stay within my calorie goals on most days. 3. Hi everyone, I started induction on 12/1/13. So far I'm down about 8 lbs! My goal is to lose 10lbs this month (I need to lose around 70lbs total).

Using the scale helps me stay on track. I usuaslly weigh-in weekly to make sure the number is trending downward. If it's not, I know I need to reevaluate my exercise and food intake. I rely on my HRM. MFP and exercise machines are usually overly generous with calories burned compared to my HRM. The difference can be as much as 200-300 calories depending on the activity and duration.
