I like them in Japanese food, which I actually cook a lot. (Making Nikujaga for dinner tonight, actually) I know people use them to help with the full feeling...but I just happen to like them in my normal cooking, lol. I've never tried the dry fried method....I might try it out! Anyone having issues finding them...The H…

I was hanging in the 200 pound range. Im 287 now, on the way down.

I had never tried this approach before. But this time, I am. I do occasionally go for a walk. But I am not pressuring myself to get going yet. For the same reason, I need to focus on feeding my body right. I am not failing this time, so I am attempting to ease into it more readily that I have in the past.

I drink a lot of water and I am very mindful of WHY I am wanting to eat. I have actually said out loud to myself "No stop, why are you doing that" when reaching into the fridge. I got a very odd look from my husband, Lmao.

I don't really try to restrict them, but I generally eat between 60 and 180 a day. I do notice that a lot of things with high carbs are also high calorie. So maybe that is why people do it? I also don't stay full for as long as I could when I eat a carb filled meal. So that is another issue.

I am sure I know how you feel. And I would be more than happy to help you stay on track! I know the feelings of frustration, anger, disappointment, etc. I've struggled with weight for as long as I have been alive, honestly. But I am determined...I am not giving up. And I would be happy to help encourage the same from you.…

Added you. I too have 100+ to lose, and anyone that would like to may add me! I log daily, and I try to be encouraging. :-) Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Honestly I have the same problem. And it was caused (for me) by just not paying attention. I would put too much food on my plate, then eat it until it was gone out of habit. Then I would sit there moaning about being too full. Lol. So now I take less (if I take too little I can always get a bit more), and I am very aware…

Your progress is showing beautifully. Such a great job! Keep it up! You are an inspiration.

I don't use weight watchers. It makes sense to me to log everything....because if I ate it....it counts.
-
Well I was just going to scoff at you and move on. But then I looked that sweet little tapir in the eye....and I just couldn't. :-P

Well....I'm at about half a month in right now. I have lost 8 pounds. I did a very large overhaul of my diet, completely cutting out soda (which I was drinking A LOT of). I started using Atkins shakes to ensure that I am getting SOMETHING during the day so that I do not have to worry about eating. I will probably continue…

Anyone can add me. I added you, OP. I am honest on my diary, even if I make a bad choice, lol.

There is NOTHING wrong with falling short. The problem is when you decide to stay down instead of get back up and keep going. Don't worry. It's over, you can't take it back. You don't need to feel guilty. Just move on. Good luck!

I weigh daily. I don't have scale anxiety or anything. It's just to see what it says. More of a habit than anything. I only record what I lost/gained every week or so.

Added you as a friend. Best of luck on your journey, I would be happy to help support you! :-)

I've never seen it, and my husband would like to change that. lol.

I didn't even realize that Thanksgiving was so close. It kind of snuck up on me, lol. I am not ready. Luckily it will just be the 4 of us, so it shouldn't be hard to get ready. My husband wants EVERYTHING, lol! Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, sausages, cabbage with cheese sauce, gravy, pie, cranberry sauce, cookies. Luckily…

He wouldn't post in those. If he did, I wouldn't really care unless he was blatantly hitting on someone. Telling someone they look good is different than acting like you are interested in them.

That's what I was wondering. I know it can be hard to remove those things when you have a family that won't/can't really do the same. I also know the feeling of not wanting to make my family sacrifice what they like to appease or help me...It's terrible. And it can be really hard for me, so I can only imagine how hard that…

So your concern is that you are overeating? Or is it poor choices in food? Why can you not just stop buying the bad foods? This is coming from someone who admittedly is on the opposite end of the spectrum, and has no medical training. But...if I avoid bad food to lose weight the right way, why can't you avoid bad food to…

That is AWESOME!! Great work!

I haven't thought about it. The goal for me is reward enough. But since I have a lot to lose, I am sure the reward will be new clothes at least. :-P

I'd do my best to get a workout in. Even just a 20 minute one. If I couldn't, I would probably end up eating over a little. :-\ That's just me, so I do my best to plan for that. Best of luck. Whatever happens, one day isn't the end of the world. Hang in there!

I am a stay at home mom to 2 kids, working on losing a lot of weight, and would be glad to help support or motivate anyone who adds me as a friend. :-) Sending you a request, mimilove, and anyone who sees this that needs a little support--feel free to send me a request! Happy Friday!
-
Anyone can add me. My diary is viewable by friends, and I wouldn't mind helping motivate people :-)

I can't remember anything off the top of my head. Just typical fatty comments. Really only as a kid. I haven't had anyone say something flat out rude or hateful about my body size since high school.

Sodium is definitely one of those things that lurks in just about everything, even though we sometimes forget about it. Welcome to MFP, feel free to add me if you would like. :-) Best of luck to you!
