Berries and fro-yo are my go to. In the winter I like the low cal hot chocolates. 1 cup is usually about 40 cals.

I think it varies from person to person where the line is between healthy and unhealthy. When I was 10lb heavier I had plantar fasciitis. I lost those 10lb and it went away. I'm still at least 30lb overweight but it's not affecting my health in any way. For others it does.

Snap. Saw that as well. And kale helps keep your sight healthy for an extra few years by stopping the cones and rods in your eyes from deteriorating. As do kiwi, spinach and eggs. Don't like the idea of the German way of eating kale though, cooked in sausage fat for hours.

I saw a documentary last night where scientists figured out that for the chemicals in grapefruit to help actively burn fat you'd have to eat 40 at a time, which would equal 1kg of sugar. And probably a whole lot of time spent in the bathroom.

I wear shock absorbers, but that's to keep my 34Gs in check so may be a little too restrictive for you. Nothing moves in them though.

Cottage cheese and berries.

There's an option under cardio for strength training but I don't know how accurate it is. I'd guess not very.

Been there, currently almost back to starting from the beginning myself. Just remember you did it once, you can do it now!

From what I remember of meals in college cafeterias, if you really are eating the calories you think then your portions must be tiny. I had a flapjack for breakfast the other day at it was over 400 cals for 1 serving. Aside from all the great info that people have given you on nutrition here, I don't think your calorie…

The Daily Mail just spouts sensationalist headlines that are usually full of crap. This is case and point. The evidence here doesn't actually say exercise makes you fat. It says that if you use it as an excuse to eat more than you burn and be very sedentary when not in the gym, then you'll get fat. So combine exercise with…

There's usually both in the database. I tend to use raw weights for most things.

As a prolific ankle sprainer, you'd know it straight away if that's what you'd done. Last time I nearly cried. But it can't hurt to get it checked out. Could you call your doctor for a phone consult if you don't want to miss work?

My knees crack when I'm squatting as well. I'm only 27 and it's happened since I was a child. So it can happen to anyone! If it's painful or causing mobility issues then I'd see a doctor.

Urgh. I just.... I can't even. Edit: You know people lived on rations during the war right? And FYI, organic doesn't mean no pesticides. Just means different kinds. Ones that aren't regulated and the producer doesn't have to tell you about. But please, feel free to preach at all us uninformed folk some more. You are after…

So next time you'll know to take a banana or something with you. Take it as a lesson and move on.

It means your body is becoming more efficient at getting oxygen to your muscles so your heart doesn't need to work as hard. So you're getting fitter basically. I'm sure there's more science to it but that's all I remember from human biology classes!

Run, quickly, before anyone sees you. Edit: Too late. Good luck.

I made a chorizo, red pepper and sweet potato tortilla last night and microwaved it at work. It was the best idea I've ever had. *nom*

Ignore all of this except the bold. The only reason to cut things out is for medical issues.

So glad this is back! I lurk on the forums a bit and the no nonsense advice that a lot of people give has really helped me. It made me quit low fat and start lifting! @JoRocka @MrM27 @helloitsdan @ILiftHeavyAcrylics @usmcmp @Sarauk2sf @rabbitjb @tincanonastring

You just won MFP. Welcome!

I probably do about the same as you and have my activity level set to sedentary. I don't include my walks as extra unless I go significantly over 10,000 steps a day though. Just personal preference I guess.

That's my lifting coach! She's awesome.

I'm almost a foot shorter than you, female and eating more than you to lose. So yes, if I were you I would increase calories. You may feel fine at that level now, but you're more likely to stick with it long term if you have a more reasonable deficit. Also, you'll be burning through quite a bit of lean body mass (muscle)…

Chocolate covered coffee beans!

Err why are neither of them healthy?! Unless you have a medical issue stopping you eating grains, eat whichever you prefer. Or both. That's sort of like asking which is healthier between broccoli and cauliflower. Their micronutrients will be slightly different, but overall its not really important. And don't listen to…

My mum makes it using quark (bluergh) and she quite likes it as an alternative to cream cheese/ricotta.

I just started RI30 yesterday and found week 1 pretty much the same as 30DS. Does it change to different workouts after this first one? I like that it's 4 instead of 3 phases.
