Wow, I've been there (lunches, conference buffets etc.) Stay strong, drink lots of water, will help you feel full and keep away from the food - or at least eat less. Put veggies in your plate first before adding the stuff. Planning your day sounds like a great idea also. Good luck!

You will look great (the person marrying you already thinks so). That doesn't mean you shouldn't t do your best diet wise, but on that day, forget about it enjoy it to the fullest. I had lost 20 pounds, 2 dress sizes before my wedding, everyone was complementing me on how great I looked (the smallest size I'd ever been…

It is an unusual reason as you said. Never heard it before, but sounds like added motivation. Doing great, keep it up. Wish you success on your journey!

I try to.

Had the same feeling...lol. Guess we were wrong

All the pics posted are awesome and inspirational. Congrats to all. I Particularly like this one: same distance and outfit on before and after pic, really gives a good idea of the great progress you have achieved. Nothing to post myself :ohwell:

:noway: That's probably one of the best and scariest motivation tricks I've heard of

I had the same question cause I have the same hectic schedule -that said, let me say of the bat that I do complete workouts, on relatively less busy days and week-ends- so I looked it up on the Web, and here is my routine. It doesn't take me a full hour to actually eat lunch, so I use the extra time to do more intensive…

Kudos ! One of the main reason we are in this journey is to improve our health. How great it is that you have achieved that goal AND have proof of it in writing to boot!

Good question, I pretty much asked myself the same one last time I came back. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/davadoto/view/yet-another-fresh-start-what-s-the-key-to-success-582744 In summary, I would say that refusing to acknowledge how serious my weight problems are + ANY stressful situation is what usually sabotages my…

Great story, thanks for sharing. Great tips in there for me. More than a diet success story: a lifestyle change, one step at a time. Congrats to both your wife and you.

I agree. You look great now and unless your doctors say otherwise, you should be able to have that baby whenever you're ready for it: not at your ideal weight but at a healthy one. Life is short. Don't get me wrong though, Your story and pics are quite inspirational. Thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:

Solid advice that completes the first one that was posted.

My first doctor warning din't do it for me, the second one either. Neither my back, knee, cholesterol problems. I started to seriously think about it when my blood pressure went up and refused to go back down. Lost a couple of pounds, but that was it. I had always been overweight, so what was new? Scale at 200 for the…

Checking in: so lost 5 pounds before Christmas and gained it all back by New Year :-( At least got some great pics... Hope it went better for u guys.

Yep, good advice. You might just be losing elasticity (so something natural with Vit E, anti-oxidants )+ besides massage stimulates circulation. Can't hurt. Sorry if you have found some response unpleasant: not everyone can relate, it's easier for some. Not wanting to get into the firm/tone debate. But I do consider…

Me again. About upping your protein. It might just work; I'm a vegetarian, and getting the right amount of protein has always been a challenge. I was 200 pounds a couple of months ago but couldn't lose a single pound while dieting and exercising until I increased my protein intake and started taking foods with a lot of…

Great topic! thx. But are we also going to post our results in January? It would make us a bit more accountable (besides being accountable to ourselves that is)

Are you close to your ideal weight? In those cases you could lose weight more slowly. Have you tried changing up your diet and exercise routine? There are several tricks to beating a weight loss plateau. Good luck! PS: you can also peruse other post about weight loss plateau's. It may not sound very supportive , but I…

Simply inspirational. Thx for sharing.

PS: Green tea (not pills) give me energy (replacement of afternoon coffee cup). Vit B supplements tend to boost my metabolism AND my appetite :ohwell:

Nothing beats good diet and exercise. 5 years ago I could shed 4 pounds on diet and/or exercise alone (as long as I was up to it). But as a 30 year + woman, I have found that a little help: multi-vitamin, vit C helps me lose weight easier. Some herbal tea when I'm retaining water. Some would say a healthy diet should…

Hello everyone!

Another 10 pounds. 12 would be ideal. And be once again able to fit in to one of my favorite pair of pants: would complete some outfits for a concert or Christmas diner.

I have just challenged myself and the deadline is approaching. For the past 2 weeks I have also been trying a new exercise and diet regimen and wanted to be sure it was working. I think I got carried away and weighted myself almost everyday :embarassed:

I'll try. Thx.

Lol. I only had 1300 Cal or so. Very detailed and helpful explanations though, thx a lot. I did just add push ups to my routine, but not much. And the previous days more salt (but same Cal intake) than usual.
-
Thanks guys. Very helpful. I do tend to panic: it took me 3 weeks of hard work (more work than what I usually commit to) to lose these 5 pounds.

I'm no cheerleader. But if you guys need someone who will notice the milestones you reach, give input when asked, then read my profile, my blog and see if you want to add me.
