Keep going. Make sure you drink lots of water and take one day of rest. On your rest day, so some easy warmups and stretch a little. That can help ease the soreness. some.

The fuel belt is definitely the way to go for carrying water on an outdoor run. I can't carry anything in my hands when running. I have a 4 bottle Fuel Belt and just love it. I also plan routes that pass by a park with a water fountain, so I can stop and fill if necessary, quote] I carry around a water bottle with me all…

I don't see that anyone mentioned One Crazy Summer. Ranks right up there with Better off Dead.

I have 4 Jillian DVDs and love them all. 30DS and Ripped are great when you don't have a lot of time for a workout. On weekends, or mornings when I have time, I like to do No More Trouble Zones and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, as they are longer and both will kick your butt ! Love the way I toned up and how she eases you…

I use Mona Vie RVL shakes. I don't use it every day as their weight loss plan suggests... they suggest a shake for breakfast, shake for lunch, RVL snack bar morning and evening, a "metabolism boosting" pill. and a sensible dinner. I will have a shake when I am in a rush for a meal.. I use skim milk and add fresh fruit. I…

I weigh in the morning, after my run (or bike ride) just before I hop in the shower, and before eating breakfast.
nope, that's not it.. he is just too tired all the time, and one part of his body or another is hurting <sigh> I just can't win. Love him so much and just want him to be healthy and not tired all the time .
That being said - who does the grocery shopping? Perhaps it's time to start omitting things from…

I have the talk all written up in my head. We missed out on 23 years together (we first met in 1987 and found each other again 1 1/2 years ago).. I want him to be around for a long long time . He did eat an apple a few minutes ago, and pointed out to me that he was eating it -- :"see, I am eating an apple. "

Bjorn is at that age where they talk in school about the dangers of smoking.. he has asked his dad more than once, when he is planning to quit. Bjorn needs to get out more too. He just sits in his room all day playing video games . <sigh> I wish I could wave a magic wand and motivate everyone !

He has never been an active person. He does have a bike and keeps talking about riding it. He did a few times last year, but just around the block ( which is 1/2 mile) and once he took his son around the park reserve (6 miles). I hear " I can't" out of his mouth a lot. But I know it's a choice.. maybe I'll ask to go for a…

That was a flat out NO, Bethany !

If you are doing the Jillian DVD, I'd say you are okay working out later. It's intense, but short. Make sure to do a nice cool down and drink plenty of water afterwards. Every one is different, so I'd give it a try for a few days and see how you sleep. On the weekends, I'd try one of Jillians longer 40 minute workout CDs .…

The 1st time I ran, I went 2 miles and had to walk parts of it.. I had shin splints so bad afterwards I could hardly walk. 18 months after that 1st run, I completed my 1st marathon (26.2 miles) give yourself some time, and build up slowly. It will get easier, just stay strong and be consistent !

I am planning to run a 1/2 marathon this fall. Nothing new for me, as I have run 8 full marathons and 5 1/2 marathons. But, I have been out of prime running shape for awhile, and am on a goal to lose weight and run a 2 hour 1/2 !
