I like it with a boiled egg - for dipping, instead of toast :)

I love green tea now but didn't use to - it was something I really wanted to like so I started with green tea flavoured with vanilla (makes it sweeter). When I got used to it it was easier to try other flavoured ones and eventually on to plain. I don't know anything about the health benefits. Just my thoughts if it's…

For me it's about eating things without the scary ingredients - if it contains something I can't buy off a shelf to put in my own food, I'm not eating it.

Oh no! I thought it was only me that did that ... Thank you for all your advice, you've been very helpful. There, now you didn't kill it :)

I think I'm eating the "right" things for me - I eat 1400 calories (plus all my exercise calories!) and I eat a pretty wide range of stuff, lots of veggies, I tend not to eat much rubbish stuff, I usually hit my macros ... I don't want to cut carbs out because I don't think I could sustain that indefinitely. A life without…

This happens to me every time I go out for dinner! But I try and limit eating out to special occasions and eat less during the day before I go out. In the grand scheme of things, eating over your allowance for one day is not going to make a massive difference to your overall goals. Just log it and move on! You can always…

I am loving the "eat more" advice :) I could kill for toast and biscuits hahaha! I've seen some people mention calorie cycling before, how does that work? If I do one day at 1200, one day at 1500, one at 1800 - have I understood this correctly?

It's ok to eat or drink whatever you want, just count it in.

On a cracker-related note, I'm in the UK and have a bit of a thing for ryvita thins at the mo - they're pretty low cal and taste nice. The seeded ones are nice with a cup-a-soup!

I weigh daily because I think it gives me a little reminder every morning of what I'm doing, it helps to keep me on track. But I think you have to be careful not to get bothered by the little gains that will happen :)

I remember seeing a Jamie Oliver thing on tv where he baked fennel with vermouth, sounded amazing. Can't find it on his website though :(
-
Are you sure you're counting properly? I weigh everything obsessively - it's amazing how far out you can be using cups and measures etc. that made a difference for me.

I toast mini pitta bread, smear it on the inside and stuff in some rocket / spinach / anything leafy. Yummy.

I agree with this - I could understand how a one night stand could happen (shouldn't but could), but a relationship is unforgivable.
-
I do this too. BUT I also do it the opposite - I don't order bad things when I'm with people in case they think that about me!! Bit psycho ... but if it makes me pick something healthy then that's a good thing I think :)
-
I'm an every morning weigher too - I know it's a bad habit but it makes me focus more I think. It feels like I'm doing something to acknowledge I'm on a diet :)

This made me LOL. Wow, I read this thread thinking it was going to be really useful, but instead it was just a penis contest. Poor OP!!

I put my work clothes in my gym bag and put my gym clothes out ready to wear, so that in the morning it's more of a chore to have to dig everything out and not go than it is to just put on my gym stuff and go :)

Aww, don't feel hopeless. There will be a reason, it takes a bit of fiddling to get going I think. Are you measuring your portions or just guessing? That could be it. Or maybe you're not eating enough calories - MFP set my goal at 1200 but I learned that I lose better at 1400. Are you drinking enough? Maybe it's fluid…

I have really bad skin, but I find using an oil-free moisturiser helps a lot - I know using moisturiser sounds counter-intuitive but my skin is always worse when I miss a day using it. Might be worth a go? Make sure it's oil free though!

I take soluble vitamin c tablets in the mornings when I have a cold, and a teaspoon of honey when my throat is sore.

I read somewhere that you can "teach" your taste buds to like something if you eat a tiny bit of it every day. So maybe if there's a food you reeeeeaallllly want to like, you can try this. I really hated olives but I bought a jar, forced one down every day, and although it was revolting to start with after about a week I…

I count everything. My body isn't going to not count them - it's going to treat a calorie as a calorie.

When the weather gets cold I make veggie soup at the weekend and keep a jug of it in the fridge, so all I have to do is reheat it when I'm busy in the week. I change the soup, use different veg and that stops it from being boring. You can freeze portions of it too so you could have a different one every day.

Omg Labyrinth I'd forgotten all about that film - amazing!!!

Hurray!!

I love Gossip, but no one ever seems to have heard of it! Well worth a watch IMO :)

:-O noooooooooo!!!!! Oh my god!
-
Noo! How many are there in cineworld salty popcorn? Arrr I love that stuff!

I love Twinings blueberry and raspberry green tea. It tastes lovely cold too.
