Yes I think I'm good, I'm so thankful for these message boards! I was able to ask the question and people can look at my diary and see where I was going wrong. made sure I ate protein today with breakfast and when I start thinking about food I'm going to get something to eat so my blood sugar doesn't crash.

I'm looking at yesterday's food diary. Early in the day you ate too many carbs and not enough protein. You need to force yourself to eat some protein/fat early in the day to curb hunger by preventing insulin spikes. I did the same thing yesterday!

Doesn't matter exactly which brand/make/model you buy just make sure what you get is ACCURATE. A food scale is very helpful too because you can measure in weight instead of volume which is much more accurate. I use pyrex measuring cups, and I have mason jars that work out in a pinch bc they have measurements on the sides.

That's exactly what I don't get about people who call this a "fad diet". It's NOT a diet at all. In fact if you aren't careful you will gain. The first thing I did was buy a package of gluten free cake mix, then proceeded to eat the whole dang thing myself! *insert sarcasm* But it was OK because it wasn't gluten!

I know one thing I can easily do is accidentally forget to log in things I add to a recipe. If you forget to add the olive oil, for instance, that can add up pretty quickly. Right after you get up, before you have breakfast. I only weigh once a week on Saturday. That's to keep me from getting so tied up in numbers that might not mean a whole lot anyway.
