  • My starting weight is 214.4 My goal is to weight 208 by May 30 At this point I'm just getting back into a routine after having my son 2 months ago so my goal is to do 30 of cardio 3 times a week for the month of May. This consists usually of taking the kids on a 3 mile walk in the stroller.
  • Good luck!!:flowerforyou:
  • I'd like to join! I have weight from my two pregnancies in the last couple years. My sister is getting married on August 1st so I'd love to lose weight before her wedding. My first goal is to fit into my pre preggo jeans! Maybe 10 pounds to get there?
  • I'll be having a baby in February and will have 2 kids under 2. I don't imagine I'll have time to go to the gym and I don't have a machine. Can I really lose weight using workout videos? I do have weights so I will definitely be doing those but what about cardio? Does anyone have any good weight loss videos they would…
  • I took a hiatus and missed about a week of logging. I've also gained 3 pounds!!! I need to get back on track starting today!!!

  • I just had a can of Campbell's Select soup-- some chicken/tortilla kind. Needed something quick. It wasn't bad but now I need a cup of tea to relax now that my DD is in bed!
  • Bauekel we are in the same boat--13 pounds would get me to 200!! This is my first challenge so I'm really excited about meeting my goals: GOAL #1-Gym at LEAST 3 days a week GOAL #2-Situps at least 6 days a week (I need the leeway just in case) GOAL #3-WATER WATER WATER (I pause typing to take a sip :drinker: ) GOAL…
  • Welcome to the board. I've really enjoyed this so far. I've been doing this for about a month and I'm still motivated thanks to the community message boards!!! Good luck to you!

  • So I'm NOT a big water drinker--at all. In fact, I drink more diet soda and coffee than anything else, so I'm probably dehydrated 90 percent of the time. But for the past two days I've been drinking about 8 glasses (two 34 oz bottles) a day. I'm surprised how easy it is because I simply take the bottle every where I go and…
  • My husband promised me that I can buy a NICE pair of jeans. I'm so excited. Right now I have a closet full of pre pregnancy close that are too small but I am hoping that once I'm finished even those will be a little big!! I've been on track with food--I need to work out more though...
  • I have 60 to lose, (probably more like 80 really but 60 is my goal right now) and I'm sure there are a lot of people that are looking to lose a lot. I love MFP and I've lost about 10 pounds already. I hope it works for you!!
  • I'm in Maine
  • Great tips, thanks!
  • Hey Erica,Welcome!! it sounds like we're almost in the same boat. I got married weighing about 150 (a size 10) then went OVER 200 pounds two years (and one baby) later! I've never been this heavy but I'm also very motivated to lose the weight. I hope we can help to encourage you!! You've come to the right place!
  • I'm a huge nachos fan so I'll plan that for my day. My church is having a superbowl party so my plan will be to bring the veggies and lite dip. I'm sure there are others that will be trying to eat healthy as well.
  • That is the one thing I hated about college--no sleep!! Don't let your slip-up keep you from trying. Just keep going!! You can do it!
  • Hi, welcome! This site is great and there is a lot of great support!

  • I'm right there with you!! My daughter is 8 months old and I gained about 60 pounds and I still have about 40 pounds of it to lose!! This past week is the first time I've REALLY been trying though, hitting the gym again and REALLY watching my weight. It will come, I'm confident, just don't give up hope!
  • I've been doing so well foodwise but I find that I need to allow myself a little something at the end of the day without undoing all the work I've done. Lately its been a cup of hot skim milk (OT-does anyone else find they drink a lot LESS milk using MFP?) and a couple "fun size" 3 musketeers bars. These give me my…
  • LOL. It's topics like these that keep me interested. I don't think you're a grinch and I HAVE a child (as you can probably tell from the profile). I LOVE my daughter immensely but I definitely know that children don't belong everywhere and that not everyone wants to be subject to mine. I feel like sometimes parents have to…
  • Pizza is often my downfall, so I try to round up to about 250-300 cal per slice (for a medium/large veggie pizza). I'm sure it varies a lot from pizza to pizza and whether or not there is a lot of meat on there.
  • Good Luck!
  • That's Wonderful! I need to jump on that water bandwagon too. I KNOW that I need to drink it but I have a hard time "fitting it in" my day. Conratulations to you! Good luck with your award!
  • Hi! Welcome!! I'm rather new here myself!
  • That's awesome! I can't wait till the weather gets better so I can go OUTSIDE instead of this treadmill stuff. Congrats on the weight loss.
  • Pizza is totally my downfall, actually, so is ice cream  I would really try to fill up on the veggies first. (don't forget to eat a good breakfast too so you're not hungry at the party).
  • My husband and I are planning a group cruise with several of our friends for September of 2009 to the Carribbean. I've gained 60 pounds since I've been married and then two years later had my baby so now I have 20 months (more or less) to try to lose it. (my first goal is to get into my pre pregnancy clothes--after all my…
  • I have found it just a little bit annoying that there aren't that many foods on the database. I agree with previous posts that once you go in and enter certain foods you'll have an easier time. Just make sure to share your foods!!! I think that's how the database s going to expand.
  • I was weird because I was actually the skinniest I ever was in college and I LOVED the salad bar! I would have a HUGE salad for dinner every night. I don't know if your school is similar but we also had fresh fruit at lunch and dinner (grapes, apples, pears, bananas, pineapple, melons, etc). My problem is now that I've…
  • I've figured this out too. I always try to share things that I add to the database too as the foods that other people have added have been helpful.
