@quilteryoyo If it were me, I'd get it done asap to save myself the worry. Because I'm a worrier. My daughter is having issues with a breast and the GP sent her to a breast center where they did a bi-lateral something or other. They sent the results now to a breast specialist and their "soonest appointment" is October 7th.…

Today it rained. I didn't run. I hate rain. That is all.

Had a slight pain on my right leg above the ankle bone this morning. I hope it's not a harbinger of things to come. :( The temps were slightly warming than yesterday, but still glorious compared to a month ago. I will not complain. 9/1 5.55 9/2 5.21 9/3 5.23 9/4 Helped with Mom's yard sale all. day. long. 9/5 Bass fishing…

Last week was vacation time. Loved every minute of it… except the last morning when I fell down about 6 steps Saturday morning. Oops! Was sore on Sunday and Monday. Got out and ran just over 4 miles this morning. I hope tomorrow morning goes as well. The weather was a crisp 52 degrees. AAaahhhhh! I still might make the 100…

Movement has become a part of my life. I'm running most days, but if I push myself- like today- I'll just walk tomorrow.

p.s. yesterday I was in a store and tried on Hokas for the first time ever. The Cliftons felt pretty nice on my feet. Anybody have any experience with that particular shoe?

I ran 11 tough miles today. When I finished, it was 79 with 82 percent humidity. There wasn't a dry spot on me! Also had chill bumps during the run a couple of times. Why? I always run fasted, but today I had a GU pack at mile 5 and sipped a 20oz Gatorade Zero through my run. Got back home and decided to eat after my bath.…

P.S. I haven't learned how to do the Hide thingy....

Thank you all for the lovely anniversary wishes. We had fun fishing, visiting with my parents, having an amazing German lunch, and strolling around the park where we tied the knot. A very good day filled with love and laughter. 9/1 5.55 9/2 5.21 9/3 5.23 9/4 Helped with Mom's yard sale all. day. long. 9/5 Bass fishing…

I live in Somerville, Alabama!

@Camaramand It feels like bragging to put out my act of kindness, but for @PastorVincent -- I provided supper for a local couple who'd lost power at their house last night. Does that count?

Went to bed late after a late supper and watching a movie with the hubby. Had to make myself get out of bed but when I got to the track, a weird notion hit me. I ran 10k today! Must've been the spaghetti I had for supper. Tomorrow is our 32nd wedding anniversary! I'm not sure if I'll be running tomorrow or not. We…

I must confess that I soaked in an Epsom salt bath after my 10 miles yesterday. I think it helped!
-
Mmmmmm. Banana bread..... I haven't had my computer since last Thursday, so I've had over 145 posts to get through! I'm too late to join the marathon challenge, so I'll keep my running on track and try to add as many acts of kindness as I can. I might even get around to reading the Pastor Vincent ebook I have waiting on my…

1 - 5.5 miles 2 - 5.22 miles 3 - 5.23 miles Total Space Race miles: 95.67 Not sure what will happen this weekend. I'm helping Mom with a yard sale tomorrow - we'll get up before dawn. And a fishing tournament on Saturday -and again, before dawn! Walking counts, so I might do that if I can't make myself run. Hoping to have…

September 1 - 5.5 miles 2 - 5.22 miles Total Space Race miles: 90.43 Looking forward to hitting triple digits! Also, wore a new shirt this morning. It was made of super thin material, light as a feather. BUT once wet, it stuck to me like a second skin. Felt gross. I won't wear that one on a sweaty run again. Live and learn.

September 1 - 5.5 miles Total Space Race miles: 85.21 @quilteryoyo I'll wave to you while we're up there! I hope to avoid the local news in stories about bears. @skippygirlsmom I get dyslexic with numbers sometimes. Thanks for the catch. (and never expect me to memorize phone numbers, lol)

@katharmonic We're going to Gatlinburg, TN! Lots of pretty scenery and lots of quality time with the hubby! Not sure if I want to run near the cabin. Owner says a mama and bear cubs have been spotted around lately! I'm not fast enough to outrun that kind of wildlife! 😁

I really enjoy the Lite Dannon Greek yogurt . Wonder how it would mix in with the pudding? I'm totally going to try this! They make a lemon meringue yogurt that I really enjoy.

If I do the bare minimum for my virtual race, I need 90 miles. I would love to join the "cool kids" and be in the 100 mile club. But I also know that we are going on an Anniversary trip this month and I might not have the opportunity to run while we're away. I've been "banking miles" beforehand to try and not fall too far…

My progress on the Space Race 400K so far is 79.664 miles (out of 284.5) Arrgh! I thought for sure that I had it at 80 even. This will end my August unless the brutal heat index lets up and I walk at lunch time. See you in September!
-
@springlering62 I'm going to have to try that!
-
Today was a walk/recover day and because we're getting dregs of Laura, I used my dreaded dreadmill. 4 miles. This has put me at 60.6 miles for the 248.5 mile challenge. Woohoo!

I'm very sorry to hear of @PastorVincent passing. My heart is now heavier than my legs. :'(

Howdy. I'm back. I know I'm late to the party, but I'm running. And I'm running my first ever virtual race... to the International Space Station! It goes from 8/17 - 11/8 to cover 400K/284.5 miles. As of this morning's run, I'm at 51.42 miles! Hurray! My goal is to finish it running in front of the Space and Rocket Center…

Nuts. Any nuts. I can leave the nut butters alone, but to crunch into a whole nut.... Pizza, Chinese buffets, and restaurant chips and salsa are also very hard for me to control.
