I signed up to run to the International Space Station. I have from 8/17 - 11/8 to run 284.5 miles. My first virtual race!

I live in north Alabama. According to the above maps, we have high obesity and low median incomes. I think a few things play into the bigger sizes around here. Our food culture: we fry everything! Fried okra, squash, mushrooms, cauliflower, tomatoes, pumpkin, potatoes, skillet-fried corn -- I've eaten them all! Our…

Thank you. I am extremely sore this morning! Groan!

I'll have to start on Sunday.

How do I log this workout? Thinking about pulling out my old dvd and blowing the dust off of it!

The only person I know of with that particular set of measurements is the woman in "Brick House" by the Commodores. She's mighty mighty!

I just had labs done and go for the report tomorrow. I've been extra crazy the last 6 weeks. Guess I'll find out if he recommends hrt tomorrow...

I had a total hysterectomy 3 years ago. I'm 51 and I really, really hate hot flashes! Feel free to add me, if you like.

I'm 5'6 and am maintaining between 133 and 138 pounds. I'm also 51 years old, married for 30 years, a Granny, and have no desire to be rail thin.

I have quite a collection of bandanas! I'l fold one into a triangle and then roll/fold it into a long strip and tie it around my forehead. I can mix and match them with my shirt colors and they make a great non-food reward for working out or reaching a new running milestone. Buying holiday themed ones is fun, too. And…

I made sugar free rugelach cookies and made Natasha's Kitchen no bake cheese cake using Truvia to replace the sugar. He liked both of them! And my niece preferred my cheesecake better than regular cheesecake.(it uses cream cheese, mascarpone cheese and heavy whipping cream) Hurray!

I am a huge fan of soups. I'll either have a can of light soup or make a pot of my own and bring it in to work with me. Right now I'm having homemade butternut squash chili. Yum! A couple of months ago, I was on a lentil soup kick. It's all good. :)

My first time reading this post. Wow! Great words of encouragement to me! I spent last year losing the weight and this year maintaining. I'll admit that I was starting to worry about the upcoming holidays. Now I'll just mind my PP and pee pees. :)

Me trying on my 30+ year old wedding dress this past Saturday and me in the summer of 2016.

I always have a stick of sugarless peppermint gum in my mouth while I'm running. Keeps the mouth moist and that helps on short runs when I don't want to carry water. Never noticed any problems with the habit.

Update: I had an EKG done today and it was abnormal. Am going for a stress test in a couple of weeks. I guess we'll see what comes from that...

Flavored coffee creamers. I'd love to be able to drink my coffee black, but that ain't happening! I make it fit into my daily calories, but oh well. That and my gin and diet lemonade. I got reminded today why I don't go to Chinese buffet places very often. It's a good thing I ran this morning!

I never knew cottage cheese could be sauteed! I don't like it, normally, because of the texture, but this looks like something I would actually try!

Thank you all for your response. I suppose my biggest doctor-wise phobia is going with a problem and being told there's absolutely nothing wrong. (Just your imagination)

@vegaspack I check my bp at a local pharmacy, on their machine, so it's the same one all the time. And it doesn't seem to matter if it's after driving into town for work or stopping after work. It's always in the same general numbers. @Running_and_Coffee As far as being a long distance runner, I just started back running…

Oh. And Logan's Run!

YES!!! Flight of the Navigator!!! I loved that movie![/quote] "Hey Oink Oink! Too many Twinkies!" "He said he just wanted to phone home." LOL!

Flight of the Navigator The Trouble with Angels Night of the Hunter The Big Sleep Scaramouche (p.s. I've seen Song of the South, too.)

That's what I wound up logging it as. Thank you.

Y'all have inspired me to tackle my home! It drives me crazy that I can't properly close one of my kitchen drawers. It's the one that holds the big ladles, knives, pizza cutter, etc. I'm convinced that there are things I can declutter. Looking forward to getting home and exploring it! One of my random thoughts-- I feel…

Today marks the 500th day of logging my meals!! And I've been maintaining since January! It's a good day!

A can of Progresso Lentil soup. About 320 calories, I think. And filling. And so easy to pack! I bring an apple or other fruit as "dessert". :
