Pilates and Yoga...ur already burning calories in ur present state so tone down on intensive workouts and do deep muscle work. Good luck! :)

I know what your going through and honestly feel for u :( But I can tell you one thing. By being here and being true to your diet plan you have at least taken control of a situation which is obviously not going to get better by itself. I think while it may hurt and make u feel very lonely to be picked on by family it also…

I do same....try not to exceed say 1300 calories in all...where i had already burnt 500 calories of the day and daily consumption is supposed to be around 1200. This way I still have 400 extra calories as a bonus which well honestly do get consumed over weekends etc. It should work. I also don't like the idea of consuming…

All kinds of french fries! Sigh

Heinz Incredibly Light Mayo is quite nice with 60% less fat. (about 260 kcal to a 100 gms) I love mayo too. So once or twice a week I do indulge in a tablespoon of mayo to go with baked fish or salad. :) And yeah adding mustard helps with flavor, quantity and creaminess without adding any calories.

SIgh....vanilla funfetti cupcake WITH frosting! :( couldn't help it....was baking for a play date...and they looked sooo yum!

My husband has been at the receiving end of such 'compliments'. I wouldn't let it get to you. Its a tremendous achievement and you know it. And anyone who has lost even half that weight knows it. If you feel healthy and look healthy you most certainly are healthy. I also find such 'well wishers' to be tad green if you know…

i am 5 ft 2". I am currently looking to be 55 kgs. But I know the day I achieve that I will strive for 50 Kgs  The heart wants what the heart wants - lol How abt ur self?

Its my bane too. I dunno. I feel that some level of muscle toning will help reduce it as you continue to lose weight. I am currently looking into doing leg extensions and exercises specifically aimed for the behind and back fat. Of course, overall fat loss will definitely reduce the trouble area. But maybe a bit of focus…

I started insanity, but I sustained an ankle injury after completing the first month. Since then my ankles are a bit susceptible to acting out if I do anything too rigorous. I am currently doing a mix of Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones, Fat Blasting Cardio, Cardio Kick Boxing, and Pauline Nordin's Butt Bible…

I think 150 is great. Like one other person said earlier, get there and re-evaluate. Also, you are the best judge of whether your bone structure and inherent frame work is slight or large. I am 5ft 2" and weight 128 lbs. And yet I look as if another 5-8 lbs can easily be lost, as I have the misfortune of having larger…

Lovvvvve Fitness Blender...Definitely recommend :) Try them they have all kinds of stuff....cardio, strength, toning, muscle building....you can pick and choose and do something new every day to keep things interesting.

I have read that any one form of exercise that you do repeatedly loses efficacy as your body becomes accustomed to it, and you stop losing weight. Maybe if you have some time in the morning before your family wakes up you could look up some exercises on YouTube and do like 30-40 odd minutes in the privacy of your home. Try…

Hey there... You know sometimes more than the calorie intake you need to focus on what you eat. I started losing weight initially when I cut back on refined carbs and started increasing intake of protein and greens, and fruits for snacking. Maybe what you are eating is inhibiting your weight loss. Its a good idea to start…

Vanity fat....so aptly put :) And you are right just need to be a bit more patient and keep at it....

I know!!! I have seen realllly big women with a more shapely behind...honestly! Its just the genetic formation of our backsides. Even super skinny models with this hip type have this slight bulge on the side...isn't it? Oh well we just need to work a little bit harder I guess :)

I am alllll for being educated and don't particularly like being 'coddled' :) which is why I specifically posted in this forum...inquiring about exercises which would help. However, I would naturally take exception to comments like "For some reason they think they just might be special snowflakes..." I mean we are all here…

While I appreciate you taking time out and commenting...I was simply looking for advise on toning exercises which might help. There is really no need to be cryptic...jeez. Its not like I haven't reduced size or lost inches there. While everything else is shaping up this is taking way too much time. I get now...it will…

Thank you all for the input.....really appreciate you taking time to give ur advice. I had all my blood work done a few weeks ago so blood count, thyroids seems to be in order. I have had similar experiences in the past as well, where weight loss has coincided with hair loss. However, this time the weight is staying off…

i loved this workout myself...! And that has been my question forever too... However, what seemed to work for me was doing it three times a week, alternating between the days. So that the essential muscles rested between the days. I did more cardio intensive stuff like the 30DS routines, or Jillians Cardio Kick Boxing…

Thanks you guys :) All the input has been really helpful...so the verdict is that the last few pounds are the toughest to lose and maybe a little upping in caloric intake is due. Definitely going for more strength and resistance now, as I have shrunk two sizes but tend to jiggle still. So muscles need toning. Thanks again…

I know they say its best done fortnightly. But its so hard to not get on that scale every day! Tho doing it at one particular time every day actually is a better snap shot of whether its going up or coming down. Right now its stagnant! Which is making me impatient. But then plateauing comes with the territory. One just…

I am taking about 1200 calories a day...and I work out about an hour each day. Some time more. Depending on how exerted I feel. Like these days I am winding up the Butt Bible so that's about 40 minutes. And I start with a brisk walk on treadmill to just kind of warm up for 15-20 minutes. And usually end with muscle toning…

Thanks :) will keep in mind...tho i have maybe exceeding calorie intake for some weeks...as had mum visiting...still i will just keep doing what i am doing and wait for the pounds to scale off :)
-
Hey hang in there! That's what i keep telling all my friends who start working out with a fervor but the first plateau they hit start considering quitting. Weight loss if undertaken correctly will yield you long lasting benefits. Which means exercise 6 days a week at least (if you need to shed weight over and above 30 lbs…

hang in there...its really all a matter of consistency....and your workout should make u superbly uncomfortable at the end....only then would you have burnt calories. Its different for everyone of course....so lose instantly others not so quickly. My philosophy is if you just stick to it and stop peering over the weighing…

If you like crime procedural drama series i would recommend The Mentalist and Castle. Plenty of seasons to watch and current seasons are still being aired. Person of Interest and Perception are good too but fairly new, with the latter having a short season format. Elementary is a new show altogether, and its first season…
