I did ChaLean Extreme and lost weight with it. I liked it as a beginner intro to lifting. I finished a few weeks ago and plan on going into either NROLFW or Stronglifts. If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me.

Can't wait to check this out.

We have power blocks. I used more than I thought I would so I would Ditto at least getting ones that you can add on to. Do some reviews. Hubs checked out both select tech and power block after reading reviews we ended up with power blocks. So check things out for yourself.

Thanks! Can't even figure out why this hadn't crossed my mind. LOL

I loved Burn and Push. Lean has been so much harder for me. I was disappointed that I couldn't lift as heavy. But I did see big gains in my push ups. Hmmm. What to do? What to do? lol

Thanks guys! All of that has been every helpful. I guess I was raised old school where pushups, situps, etc were done everyday to mean you were fit. LOL I have been doing them when they weren't part of my workout only when I wasn't sore so I guess I am on the right track. Time to cut back on extras and lift heavier. :)

Thanks and bumping to see if I get any other input.

I'm 5'3" and just hit under 180 but the scale keeps trying to pull me back over. LOL I'll send FR next.

I wish I knew off hand which day I was on but I'm on second week of Lean circuit 2 today!!
-
You've done amazing! Congrats!

On days that I'm cranky and tired and sore. I realize that I've not got my workout in. As soon as I get started I feel such better. I'm happier, more relaxed, and I eat better.

Calories??? I had heard Santa magically made those disappear from all food for one day. :) Seriously, I have no idea how much I ate, nor do I care, because I enjoyed every bite!

I'll look up my weight used tomorrow but I am on second week of lean and I was disappointed that I had to use less weight. A lot less in some places because the exercises are different and you have to do more reps.

Loved reading what others are doing. I can't decide what I'll do. I'm on week 2 of Lean and know I need to decide. We already own Insanity, P90X, TurboFire, Les Mills Combat, and HIp Hop Abs. I can combine or do any of those, but I've also been wavering about starting 5x5 or NROL4W. Too many great choices. LOL

I loved push!!! I am now on second week of Lean and hated it the first 2 circuits but circuit 3 wasn't bad and I didn't mind it today.

^^^ I have found this to be so true!! The most important thing is to be happy with yourself.

I"m not doing what many on here would consider a true lifting program. I am doing ChaLEAN Extreme. It's lifting to a video and asks you to lift heavy. I noticed that I was able to lift heavier within those first 4 weeks. The tape measure showed I lost inches, but I didn't notice. Now I have a lot to lose so I believe that…

Haven't checked it out, but thanks for the tip.

I do ChaLEAN Extreme. It uses dumbbells. I am happy with it for now because it got me started. I will probably go through it again at some point after I finish but I am looking forward to more now. It involves compound lifts as heavy as you can. The first month was 8-10 reps, second month is different moves at 6-8 reps and…

I love quotes. Can't wait to come back and copy some.

Thanks everyone. I'm still trying to decide what I would like to do. There are people on both sides of the fence for adding cardio with lifting. I am trying to learn more so I can decide how I feel about it. In the mean time, I had a body builder tell me to drop it all, do P90X and walk hills quickly for just 15 minutes.…
