I do! Sometimes my colleagues look at me like I'm nuts, but I don't give a crap.

Are you weighing your solid food and measuring liquids? Gotta' track accurately to see results. Will you open your diary so we can get more information?

I've had stress fractures in my foot and one on my tibial plateau (like JJ Watt). Both times they started feeling better after I ran on them a bit, which is reason enough to see a doctor. Sometimes though, they won't show up on an x-ray until they are healed.

Hi there - I took a look back at your diary entries the past few days and noticed that not everything was weighed (i.e. 1 vegetarian sausage link) and that you are also using measurements like 1 cup, .13 cup, etc. Please get a digital food scale if you don't already have one. Weigh ALL solids, measure all liquids. Don't…

I did 2 ultras (50 milers) and LOVED them! My mindset was completely different than for a marathon. I basically ran aid station to aid station and didn't worry about my time. Also, I wore the same gear the entire race - granted, mine were in the Fall so it was cooler. Good idea to scope out the course ahead of time, too.…

Sometimes I think I have a mild case of BED. While I was growing up, my Mom was always on a diet and labeled foods and behaviors as "good" or "bad". It has stuck with me for all of these years. I was VERY restrictive for a long time (and lost ~45-50lbs), and it definitely caught up to me. Nowadays, I have a really…

Because "regular doctors" don't receive much (if any) training in diet and nutrition. I was just at a physician conference and couldn't believe how many of them were a fair amount overweight.
-
This used to be the case with physicians, too. There have recently been a few well publicized suicides which have caused those in the field (licensing boards, employers, etc.) to recognize that mental health is very important for medical students, residents, and licensed physicians. I have to think that HIPAA helps, too.
-
Woo. There is nothing in your body that needs cleansing.

I have always loved this column by Dave Barry: wanderings.net/notebook/Main/ThingsLearn50YearsDaveBarry One of the things that may resonate in this instance is this: "You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at…

Use a food scale to weigh your food. If you're not already doing this, you're eating more than you think.
-
Are you weighing your food? If not, you're eating more than you think. Also - 1200 calories is the minimum you should be eating.

Although my gym requires shoes to be worn at all times, I still squat in socks. Weight lifting shoes (at least the ones I've seen) are $$$, and I am not willing to pay that price. I do deadlift in shoes, but after reading that so many here deadlift in socks, I'll probably try it.

Have you ever had a sleep study? My SO has sleep apnea and is always tired. He did a sleep study and was told he spent very little time in the REM state of sleeping, which I believe is where one gets the most restful sleep.

I looked at your diary - you aren't weighing everything with a scale/recording it in grams. Protein bars/shakes can be way off what the serving size is on the label, and cups (unless for liquids) aren't the same as weighing. Weigh AND log your food - the two go hand in hand. Even if you were weighing everything, how do you…

Height and weight? Your diary is closed, if you would kindly open it we might be able to give more help.

My big toe pain was also diagnosed as arthritis (and bone spurs). I'd see a doctor to rule out a stress fracture, though. Sometimes the pain wakes me up in the middle of the night, and sometimes it doesn't hurt much at all. I think the connection is with the shoes I choose to wear.

Are you measuring your food with a scale or by eyeballing/using cups, spoons, etc.? If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight - your age has very little to do with it.
-
Have you seen a mental health professional? Are you on depression medication?

1. It's so freaking hot outside. - Adjust for the heat. If you are a walker, carry water with you and slow it down a bit. 2. I'm tired of trying to take my life in my hands and cross the busy road to get me to the "walkable" area. Can you join a gym and walk indoors? This would eliminate #'s 1&2. 3. My commute is 1 hour…

How many calories are you eating each day?

I do the same things as you when it comes to food prep/eating often and receive similar comments from my coworkers. I am not the tiniest or youngest woman in our office BY FAR. I just let it roll off my back, because I know how hard I work in and out of the gym to stay healthy. They don't know my routine, and I am not…

Although it happened some time ago, here's WHY this is a bad idea: cnn.com/SHOWBIZ/Movies/9908/26/martin.02/

I watch "What Not to Wear" whenever I do cardio! It really makes the time go quicker, although I am at the point where I've seen a lot of the episodes. :/ ETA: OP, I think you look great; however, I can certainly understand how you feel because I feel the same way.

I usually do 50 minutes on the stairmill 1-2x per week. It rarely feels easy.

If running is something you enjoy and want to stick with, I'd suggest going to a running store to have your gait analyzed (they'll look at your footstrike while running on a treadmill, etc.) and they will use that information to fit you with the best running shoe for you.

Throw it out.
