Question for you: what do doctors prefer folks do before going in for a colonoscopy?
-
you sound hangry. lol btw most of the vitamins and minerals you eat are absorbed in the intestines, not the stomach... so... you already have a fundamental misunderstanding of the digestive system.
-
for those interested: WebMD. Google is your friend. [/quote]
-
double post. mfp freakin' out :P
-
lol you're such a pleasant person.
-
Let me summarize: You ask questions, I give logical answers, you bow out with "well fine, but I think it's stupid. so there" Well played sir or madam, well played. (for the record, millions of people in the world DO detox. Where do you think we Westerners got it from?)
-
because in order to remove the built up crap in the walls of your large intestine and colon, your digestive tract can't be dealing with a full day's worth of food... how are you not getting this?
-
because if all you're drinking for a couple days is water you aren't getting any nutrition, yes?
-
your body can build up pounds, literally pounds of fecal matter and other crap (hehe) within your large intestine and colon that aren't removed during typical... purging. cleanses get the rest of it out.
-
WHOA. OK. HOLD ON. I DON'T BELIEVE IT. You found an article on CNN that wasn't devoted to flight 370?
-
Your LBM is about 110, so you'll be fine with anywhere from 77-110g of protein. If you want to have more, go for it. You don't need it though.
-
lol. I've been dealing with this for two and a half years. LPR doesn't exist. I can rant for hours on this subject.
-
sure can, it's just unnecessary and expensive :)
-
I <3 coconut water. Zico. Plain. 4ever.
-
how tall are you and what do you weigh? you probably don't NEED 120g of protein. you only need about .7-1g/lb lean body mass (not total weight)
-
tbh she probably won't find her answer in any of them.
-
I'm sorry, you're having a hard time hitting 1000 cals? I've been known to eat 4,000 "clean" cals. Fish, Meat, Nuts, Eggs, Fruits, Veggies, Seeds should easily get you over 1000. For example, a 1/4 cup of nuts is about 180-200 calories. I'm sure you could put one or two of those away.

Oh, and most of these fasts suggest about 6 juices, which is what I'm doing. Spacing them out every two hours or so, so every time I start getting the real hunger pangs I juice it up and I'm good. And before y'all freak some more - I'm doing it as an experiment to see if it has any effect on my excess mucosal production in…
-
Hang in there. I'm right with you. All sorts of hungry :P
-
they don't. eat more.
-
however our methods of cultivating meat make this untrue, and cutting back on how much meat you ingest can not only help your health, but the environment as well. not saying to cut out meat entirely, but cutting back is cheaper, healthier, eco-conscious, and doesn't create a protein deficiency if you know what you're…
-
lol. doubtful.
-
UGHHH WHO BUMPS THESE THINGS!?
-
lol no man, I'm usually up for a fight, but you're making one where there isn't one. none of the kids are being forced into it against their will, and like I said in my first post, if this is done consistently and in an unhealthy environment it could create a poor relationship with food. If it's just a one time thing…
-
some day you'll finally call it Beachbody instead of Beach Body, and I'll be thrilled. OP - If you can afford Shakeology it's great, if you can't, just make your own shakes out of protein powder, fruits, veggies, etc. Way cheaper, serves the same purpose minus all the superfoods, which is either a big deal or it isn't,…
-
sigh. again. relax. and yes, I agree with you that children shouldn't get everything they want just because they want it. Obviously.
-
lol. reading labels is bad now? reading labels =/= orthorexia. yall are funny.
-
or unless they're just copying mommy. that's the only example given in the article. please relax.
-
the article is about kids who WANT to do these cleanses with their mothers. It's not being forced.

^^^ I mean, every news network now literally reports TWEETS as news. That's right. CNN is getting its news from twitter. Sigh...
