Just marathon read this thread over the course of the day - so motivating. I am down 32 of about 175 pounds and starting to notice changes in my rings & shoes. Also my hands are wrinklier. Guess the fat was hiding the wrinkles. Can't wait to experience some of the things you have all brought up.

Hormones are crazy! I have been going through perimenopause for a few years now and it is a roller coaster. Have you had your blood work done yet? If not you might want to consider it.

Understand completely! My body is changing, clothes fit differently but the scale is a big liar! Lol! Just keep plugging away it will cut loose one day!

I have my keurig coffee over ice with 1/4 cup half & half, 2 or 3 hard boiled eggs (made ahead for the week) and some fruit almost every morning. Keeps me full until lunch.

So agree with this - I did not want to go to the gym but my son encouraged me - everyone has been so wonderful and supportive. Have had some nice conversations with the super fit people and enjoy the gym now!

I would suggest setting small goals instead of one huge final goal. My first goal is to just be overweight. Then I will set a new goal. If you would like to add me as a friend please do!

Had a fitness assessment at my gym and the fitness manager did a body fat analysis. We chose my first goal from that. We will look at it again at that point.

Often we become the person we are to be "in spite of" our upbringing! Way to take responsibility for your own life. You will be grateful you made this decision at such a young age.
