You just described my summer! I gained back all the weight I lost + 5 lbs. When the cooler weather started arriving and I couldn't fit into a single pair of jeans, I panicked... and here I am again! Good luck!

I have a ton of zucchini to use up... this sounds awesome!

I don't have a full bowl of it every day, because it is expensive, but I mix some in with other cereals. It doesn't have a ton of taste, but hey, more protein!

You'll be OK! You may feel really bloated for a couple days, but as long as it doesn't make you fall off the wagon altogether, you will lose the bloat in a few days!!

I am also a grad student... nearing the end, though! I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Exactly what the others said... dried fruit isn't a good alternative to fresh fruit, but it probably is a good alternative to candy!

A few years back when I lost a bunch of weight, my period stopped for 4 months and the doctor said my body just needed to catch up and readjust (and it did, without me putting on any more weight). Later I lost even more weight and lost my period again, and this time it didn't come back until I put on some more body fat.…

233? do you mean 133? Amazing!!!

I'm not the OP, but thanks for the great tips!!

I have also bought pre-made fondant from arts & crafts stores, which works out well (and you get a good workout for your arms trying to roll it out!). You will have to put icing underneath to hold it in place. a simple icing made from shortening instead of butter will melt at a higher temperature. (but probably won't taste…

Your post reminded me of this article - if you've constantly been eating much less than 1200 cals/day, this might give some insight: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/238282-700-calories-a-day-and-not-losing-redux? (edit: can skip down to the part called "a discouraging start" which explains why you may have gained…

Hugh Jackman.... *sigh* :)

Sour milk is an awful way to ruin a morning bowl of cereal. However, sliced and roasted brussel sprouts with some balsamic vinegar and steak spice?? YUM!

Oh yes. I was very concerned when I was 12 and my weight shot up to 114 from 99 lbs practically overnight. I didn't realize that it was just a normal puberty growth spurt! When I was around 15, I weighed 150 lbs (I'm 5'10) and "dieted" (more like starved) my way down to 135. Obviously it didn't last, because I had zero…

I love diet pop, but this is what worries me the most and why I try to cut down... I want to be strong in my later years, and not have fragile bones!
-
I received some for the first time yesterday, so I'm interested to hear if anyone's got any good recipes, also! :)
-
I have definitely lost 5 lbs overnight before... I can't explain it either, so I always weigh myself first thing in the morning! Same conditions... otherwise, who knows!!!
-
Aw, thank you! I keep bouncing around but I can't seem to get it to stick. It was so easy the first time! I really do think my metabolism was faster!

I find it really interesting that at least a few of the girls who have posted in this thread so far have "after" weights that are higher than my "before" weight, but they look so fabulous! The girls who have said that they're in the 180s, I would never have been able to tell. And they're not the only ones - I've seen other…

This is a cute thread :) I met my now-husband when I started my PhD back in 2005. He was working on his PhD and had been in the lab for 3 years already. Our projects had similar themes so sometimes he helped me out, but even though he was super nice and friendly, it never crossed my mind to date him (kind of like the curse…

Well, I am 5'10, and here are my before and afters... HOWEVER... these were a few years ago, and now I'm somewhere in between. Hoping to get down to close to what my "Afters" looked like again :) I was only about 23 in the Afters, and now I'm 28, so I don't know if I'll ever quite look like this again. Before: 175 lbs…

Oh yes! I feel like that all the time, after a workout... I'm all endorphined up and feeling refreshed, and then I'm like "Why are these pants not fitting! They should be falling off me!!" Oh well... at least we feel good for the moment!! Beauty is all about confidence, right?

I find that my heart rate is often higher when I do cardio directly following a weight training session... I think my muscles are tired and I have to work harder to do the cardio. From what I have read, it is better to do cardio after weight training for this reason! :)

Fantastic!!! You look gorgeous and so happy!! :) Congrats on a job very well done!
-
i say the second! Gorgeous and I think it's very flattering, although you've got a great figure for either dress!
-
People always tell me I look like Anne Hathaway too! I don't take it as an insult, but I don't see it either :) I think it's because I have a huge smile (and brown hair!)
-
I fail to see the problem here ;) Go with it!!

Fantastic! I find that the less I eat sweets, the less that I crave them. :)
