You're not eating enough - your body has adapted to hang on to as much energy stores as it can because it thinks something bad is going on out there in the world outside. (This is not 'starvation mode' as some people might say, but it is a physiological adaption to an extended period of dramatically reduced calorie intake.…

Sure it's possible. Yesterday I filled my car's gas tank up with air and it still got me to work on time this mornng.

Right now mine is for "Women of Faith". As a male atheist, I'm thinking the intelligent ad targeting is not quite working properly.

Meh, if they still have flexibility, they're fine.

Yeah, it's a good comparison for my progress too. I started out really strong but then I got lazy and went right off the rails. A bunch of people stopped following me. Now it's October 2012 and I'm going to try and make a comeback.

Great post and well done man! I'm not sure if the technique will work for me as my own gozer tends to work extremely fast and has done the damage before I even know what happened. But I'm certainly gonna keep it in mind. Thanks for sharing (and great writing btw).

Put on an Avengers T shirt. You'll have a group of guys following you around like baby ducks within no time.

If you put razor blades in the candy the kids will be dead long before the sugar does them any harm. Problem solved.

Pringles are super dangerous. I got my hands stuck in two tubes simultaneously once. That drive to work was really hard.

Broccoli, steamed. I used to hate broccoli with a passion until I figured out how to steam it right and now it's my favorite. Carrots steamed and then drizzled with a brown sugar glaze. Edamame - though to make it taste really good you kinda have to up the sodium. And sweet potatoes - boiled, mashed, cut into fries - any…

Done it. Lost it. Done it. Lost it. Calorie deficit + lifting is all that is needed. Now playing the mental game of long-term habit changing to keep it off for good - THAT'S what I'd really like to meet an expert on.

Most of us have backslides and the ones that don't... well, they're liars. But it's that perception - of a forward and a backward - that's your (our) problem in the first place. Whenever you think in terms of progression or regression, or of being somewhere other than where you are right now, you are thinking in terms of a…

Baby steps. Set a very do-able goal of a 10lbs loss by xmas. When you drop a clothing size, throw out your bigger clothes - this forces you to try harder if you put on weight again. Don't deny yourself anything. Restriction leads to big fall offs in emotional eater (I know because I am one). If you like sugary things, then…
