I think what you're experiencing is very normal. It's what makes losing weight so hard... the behavioral aspects. I'm a stress eater. One bad week at work and my self-control tends to go out the window for a couple of weeks until I finally drift back onto the wagon. I don't expect to ever get over it, but I am getting…

It's fine. The issue I would take with it is that you are training your body to live on such a fixed thing. If you can handle it for the rest of your life, that's great, but otherwise I would expect you to lose weight just fine on it, reach your goal weight, change your diet a touch, and pile any weight you lost back on.

Nicely done, sir. Nicely done!

HAHA! I can see that too now.

Sounds delicious... for one day.

For posterity, I see Gotama Buddha, sitting cross legged under the Bodhi tree, wearing a sex black bra and making an 'o' face.

PFF - protein fat fiber. Benefiber in your water, hard boiled eggs (yolk in), chicken, oatmeal, nuts, olive oil... all keep me fuller than full.

Shoot for the middle number. Weigh in in one month to see what happened. Adjust up or down accordingly.

When most people on mfp talk about starvation mode, what they really mean is metabolic adaption to a calorie deficit. The bodies response to an energy deficit is to try to survive. It scavenges its own resources for the energy it needs, in the short term in the form of glycogen and in the long term by metabolising the fat…

Buy a copy of the Avengers on Blu Ray. Play it every time he whines about his insecurities. It'll shut him up pronto.

There's your problem.

Maybe Kayla Silverfox touched her and told her to walk until her feet bled and then walk some more...

I find it helps if I put bacon and eggs on it.

Unless you have a kidney condition or some other medical problem that contra-indicates high protein, you should be fine even doubling what you're getting right now.

Yep. Next.

Protein will keep you full for the longest. hard boiled eggs are your very best friend.

Honestly, it sounds like it's time for you to pack the scale away for a while and just keep on chugging.

Amazing, amazing progress AND you've kept it off for three years - that's beating the odds, it means you are one of the very few winners in the weight loss game. The 3 year re-gain statistic is something in the realm of 95%! You're an inspiration. Please keep it up and keep posting us pics!

I would ask your trainer to explain this "shocked into weight loss" thing in detail, because it sounds like complete BS to me. If you enter a calorie deficit of ANY kind, after being on a surplus for a long time, it's a shock to your body. Stress hormones are releases, water weight drops etc. You don't need to cut out any…

So long as you're not going over your calorie allowance, as many cups as you like.

Don't turn a slip-up into a give-up. 4lbs ain't so bad. Just remind yourself how much better you'll feel back on the wagon and get back to it. I would suggest you may not want to go as strict this time. The faster and harder you lose, the faster you'll quit and put it back on. Go for slow and steady.

Definitely Burritos. The more sour cream the better.

I loved KFC until I went to the drive thru about a month ago only to be told they'd been taken over by some other company and no longer made the Doublicious. So now they can go to hell.

I keep a fresh pizza base around. After eating goat cheese, you can spit onto it. After a few weeks you've got a nice mozzarella'ey sort of build up. Bit o' prego sauce and you're golden.
