What an excellent idea to reward yourself for meeting your goal... I may have to follow suit!

Absolutely inspiring! Keep up all of the hard work!

Well keep working at it ladies! I still have another 100 to go if I am to be completely honest with myself, and you are all more than welcome to take this journey with me! For those of you with losses, congratulations and keep up the hard work! Some of you are just starting and let me say well done in taking the first step…

I am around 5'7 so I guess it depends on one's definition of tall... Thanks so much for all of your kind words and support, I have never had such a reaction from even my closest friends and relatives, so it was a nice little boost to have someone recognize how far I have come and not try to ignore it. Thanks everyone so…

Thanks so much everyone! I didn't know I had an "hour glass" figure until I started losing the weight... its amazing the things that happen when you push yourself. Thanks James, you have been so encouraging and helpful through this process, as have many of my other MFP friends.

I have heard green tea in the morning is a great way to speed up your metabolism. You also need to be sure that instead of eating 3 meals a day you are eating 3 small meals and 3 snacks... you have to eat throughout the day to keep your metabolism moving.

My husband watches those shows all the time... I do get hungry! I like Chopped the most, because half of that crap I would never eat hehe. Television is so saturated with food shows and commercials its no wonder America has an obesity epidemic.

But what a different 20 pounds makes! Congratulations!

I HATED Body Fortress. I use Bariatric Advantage (you may have to order online) It has 27 grams of protein for two scoops, and I mix Tropicana 50 with my vanilla powder to make an orange julius that will knock your socks off. It mixes really well with ice which is important to me because other powders consistency with ice…

The biggest thing is substituting whole fat for low fat, white flours for whole grains and processed to fresh. I know a lot of people who change those three things and are very successful losing weight. Whatever you normally cook, do it the same but swap normal pasta for whole wheat, regular hamburger for lean etc.

Most bars carry the SkinnyGirl Cosmo mixes, its not a whole lot of alcohol & sugar etc. but it looks cute to sip on and you still get a few tingles

A MUST-try

I jokingly told my husband if we had a girl we should name her Vera (Wang). She would be Vera Vera hehe

I have an acquaintance whose daughter's name is Mezmerize. I also met a Justin Case and I met a woman naming her daughter Hashtag, you know, like #

My doctor says to stay under 900, so you could probably get away with a few more as long as you up your activity level!
-
That must be the one a friend of mine had mentioned! I thought she was talking she was going to do Mudder in April I was like girl there is no way we'd be ready. I appreciate the input I'll look into the other two first. Yes I forgot about the ice one... I have seen many videos and pictures, so far it looks like the wall…

At least you recognized you were doing it before it got too out of hand! I had a cheat moment the other day, had a small glass of vodka, then a few spoonfuls of full sugar ice cream and some popcorn... non of that is allowed on my diet... thank God I got extremely sick, kept me from trying that one again!

PSH WOMEN! We have got to be the most vindictive species on the planet... the worst part is I think we all do it at some point even if it is unintentional, I know I do. & even if we don't say something we can't help but think it.... try to let it go, even if she meant it in the way it came across, it only confirms what you…

I have been having the same issue with my BC. My mood swings are insane and I am having two periods a month.. I am waiting to meet with my OBGYN to look for an alternative, but I am not a fan of my options... they really need to make a pill for the men! As for the weight gain, girl you have shed so much, I believe you will…

Okay, that makes a little more sense! Will you let us know once the group is created so it will be easier to follow? Also how will we know who is on our team, and what team we are on? Do we post onto group forum letting you know once we have completed the weekly challenge?
-
Not quite sure how this works, as far as how you will go about assigning our challenges and how we can show you we did them, but with after a little explanation, I'm in! Team Emma or Team Zombie, my calorie intake is low due to WLS so whoever I will be most of an asset to! Sounds like fun, very clever idea!

I never thought of looking at the percentages, that is a point well made. Hearing all of your stories just confirms what I already felt... people are always saying that bariatric surgery is "the easy way out" but I see all of you struggling, still fighting and I just wish everyone could know what it really takes to make…
-
If I am being entirely honest, I will tell you I have had alcohol on 3 occasions since my surgery in December, making me 3 months out. I didn't die, nothing bad happened... I don't recommend going against doctor's orders, but I am going to be a 22 year old woman who didnt get to be 21 because I was pregnant (yes, my own…

Loved the sarcasm, for a second I was ready to ***** slap you through the screen, get a hold of yourself man! Sometimes we need this reminder though, there is always tomorrow!

My best advice is to find an exercise that you can crave instead of the food. Walking is so boring to me, once a week I hit up Zumba with some girls and we have a BLAST. I was a HUGE carbivore, loved all the pastas, rice, bread, you name it... and while all my other eating habits were healthy the carbs were setting me…

Thank you Erin, you have made such amazing progress, and you are right, I shouldn't get so caught up with the numbers, but I too am an addict.
-
That is a great loss, and wonderful advice! I am guilty of letting my activity slip as we have been traveling and hosting the holidays but now i a good opportunity to get back into my routine. Thanks for your response, it's so easy to get discouraged or afraid that that your doing isnt working when you have worked so hard…

Both of you lost so much the first month, I don't know what's wrong with me... but congratulations to both of you on your amazing losses. I hope I will be as successful.
