A bag of oats, eggs, any protein on sale that week (beef/fish/chicken/turkey, etc. whatever is cheapest), two bags of frozen vegetables, fresh fruit on sale or a bag of apples (usually there are 8-10 for $5). Look for items similar to that and then with whatever money left over, get a few treats for yourself!

I started eating white rice initially and lost weight, then switched to brown which has the SAME calories (Uncle Ben 10 minute rice in Canada). I prefer the texture of brown rice, it's chewier and just tastes really good to me. Next stop, I will be swimming over to Quinoa Island. BASICALLY: Yes you can eat white rice and…

2 lbs a week is still a healthy amount of weight loss. I would aim for 2 lbs a week and lower it as you get closer to your goal. A lot of the weight loss the first few weeks will be water

HELLO I am also 5'8. I was eating 1500 without any exercise and maintained 130lbs for like 2 years. So I suggest for you to eat 1700 with exercise (you will still lose weight if you burn 400 cal) and then eat 1500 in days you don't exercise.

On the weekends avoid snacking and tell yourself "Only three meals". If you're less active on weekends, you may not need snacks!

Maybe 4 months if you do 2lbs/week

Also for a cafe mocha you can do half coffee and half unsweetened chocolate almond milk. 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk is like 20-25 calories, 1/2 cup of coffee is like 0 cal.
-
Make hot chocolate with low cal hot chocolate powder and unsweetened regular almond milk. Or you can just microwave a cup of unsweetened chocolate almond milk and add cinnamon. It tastes JUST like hot chocolate.

Either eat less calories or work out more. Create a bigger deficit

Omg you can live a long full life on 1200 calories, just because it doesn't work for you does not mean it's starving.

Are you sure you look gaunt at 180 lbs?

Usually in the smaller women's sizes (0-8) there's a 10-15 lb difference between each size. Also depends on your height! But I'm 5'8 and a natural size 4 (26 inch waist). To go down to a size 2 I had to lose 15 lbs (25 inch waist)

If you can barely eat 1200 and burn 1600 a day (-400 per day) why are you on MFP?

In 3 weeks I have lost 8 lbs and although no one notices, I feel great. Consistency is key, weight loss takes time!

I go to Cora's sometimes by myself, I'm on campus at college and they have these big tables so I often do some readings/homework and eat. I felt a little bit uncomfortable/lonely the first couple of times but after a while you get used to it and I've even seen a couple students doing the same! I generally prefer eating…

"Eat more to lose weight " means you don't have to eat 1200 cals a day and struggle and that eating more calories overall will give you more energy and fuel workouts.. Doesn't have much to do with bingeing one day on pizza/wings/beer.

Will power is the only thing that works when it comes to logging. I'm not sure of how you are going to deal with logging all the recipes you are going to prepare, it may be tedious but is well worth it..
