cheapest exercise is WALK, then run, and take the pram with you. If you want to do weights, then do them, but use empty milk bottles/juice bottles etc or tins from the cupboard - they're already there and free. Obviously fill the bottles with water. If you want to add me as a friend, I can give you some family friendly…

If you're finding water hard to choke down all day, add some lemon slices or juice to it, but don't chuck in the sugar with it. If you put water and lemon (and even mint) in a jug and leave it in the fridge or bottle it up after an overnight stay in the fridge, you'll find the water goes down a lot easier. Also there is…

As a fellow asthmatic, I would question why you don't have a lot of swimming in there. That is the best lung improvement exercise for asthmatics. I would also recommend seeing a Physio for exercises to strengthen your lungs. I agree walking is great, but you should consider other exercise for lung work.

No one else with an opinion out there??

Hi I am 5'1,37 , mum of 3 and had my daughters Pead be utterly shocked last week that I was honest about my height. My starting weight was 102.5kg, current weight is 93.1kg My initial goal is to get to 75kg - not within my BMI and I think it still puts me in the morbidly obese category, but I know that under that I tend to…

That's a positive. So shall we start a thread for sharing holiday menus????

CRAP!! Can i claim I didn't read this????? ;) Ok ok ok I am going to do it right now!! EDIT I've done it and I am sure the neighbours thought I was insane jogging around my bedroom!!
-
Yes Liz that is right. a standard metric cup is merely 250mL of water and very easy to drink 8 of those a day. Particularly in hotter climates.

Well done, I was in limbo for a couple of weeks while I've been ill, however as reported earlier they've run away. Here's hoping it's something as simple as that. You're going great guns. I have found in the past when I get stuck on a plateau that eating something terribly naughty (i.e. the skin from a roasted or BBQ'ed…

Sound proposition, what do you suggest???? I think one idea we could use is sharing holiday menus.....

Ok, I have been really lax on the weighing over the last 2 weeks so I am not posting scales readings. Am I insane to consider getting back into the pool…

Doing better Liz, however, I dropped to 93.7 on day 2 and am now 95.8 again, no idea what is going on. I haven't altered my eating or anything :(

Awesome work! While I can't bring myself to touch anyone's left over food, I watch my husband do it all the time and know he can't resist at all, so I know how hard it was for you. As someone else said, get your youngin to scrape the plate, at 3 they are old enough if you help them and not only are you stopping the left…

Mine actually occurred on Thursday. I was getting ready for a work function and my husband commented that my backside was starting to dissapear!! This is a big thing! It's no where near gone yet, but the mere fact that "Mr I never see or notice anything" noticed it YAY!!. And for said work function I needed a shirt that…

Ok I'll kick off this week. Last sat I had a minor put on so went back to 96.5, over this week that has gone and I am back down to 95.1 so that makes it a 1.5kg loss. Am yet to measure

Yea but there have to be indoor heated pools, I know when I was in the UK I swam indoor there ;) and to be honest, i am using the heated pool here as well.....

Ok, weight is up and down by 800 grams, thinking this might be due to the TOM approaching. However, I can claim NSV this week. I have lost: 1.5cm from neck, 1.5cm from waist and 4 cm from my hips..... so yea happy with that..... stupid weight... not gonna do a drinking binge again LOL

Jump in a pool... it's LOVELY

I hope you're doing this under medical guidance, that seems incredibly THIN 40kg for someone my height is STUPID I just had to say that. Edit: on looking at ideal height and weight, to carry a body weight of 40kg (90lbs) you need to be around 142cm tall.

Back in the day, when I was young and fit, like 20 odd years ago, my parents had to limit the exercise I did, I got seriously underweight and sick..... But what I used to do was: Field hockey for 12 years making regional teams, Cycling... school was 5.5km away and I hated the bus so cycled EVERYWHERE (then I got my license…

Ok so I hit the wrong button, oh well.... anyways as for room temp water - it deffo makes a difference. I have a 600ml bottle on my desk all the time at school. I make the students refill it if they ask to go for a drink........ works wonders on the kids E

Ok so I bit the bullet and put in the weight the new scales are showing. Benefits: It shows a higher cal burn for exercise Negative: It shows less weight loss. Oh well more incentive to work harder. And I did. Instead of coming home right from work, I made a detour past the swimming pool and did 35 min of breast…
