to be honest, if you have been eating at a calorie deficit for a while, now.. then i wouldn't be surprised if this calorie spike results in a weight loss... if it doesn't or you haven't been eating at a deficit for a long time, don't worry about it. just drink lots of water and count this as a learning experience.

on days you don't want to run and think you can't.. go anyhow.. you'll feel amazing when its finished.. also the first 10 minutes into a long run are almost always the worst....

If you aren't concerned with possibly being pregnant then I would not be concerned (yet). Your body is going through some stress due to the increased activity levels and diet. It is normal for your TOM to change while your body is adjusting to these new stressers. If you're not regulated in another month or two, then I'd…

weigh the chicken breast before cooking it.. log it under raw chicken breast. measure cooking oil or weigh butter.. log it. then you have exactly what you have consumed.

as previous posters have commented: try lacing your shoes differently. check out this link: http://katierunsthis.com/2011/10/04/running-shoe-lacing-techniques/ for me the problem:high instep seemed to help the numb toe issue. another thing that helps me is to REALLY stretch my calves (and Achilles's tendon) before running,…

Jen, Kudos to you for signing up and getting amped to do a half marathon! Its a wonderful goal and you'll feel amazing when you achieve it. I, too, live in Michigan and run year round (regardless of weather) out of doors. I highly suggest popping off the treadmill and stepping outside for your runs. It will help you be…

One thing I forgot to mention: Drink often, baby sips. Keeping your throat moist helps with healing and aids in preventing your scabs being bothersome (such a glamorous phrase). Also I was not able to drink from a straw for about two weeks after the doc cleared me to exercise and go back to work. I'm not sure why drinking…

I had mine removed last year when I was 29. To be honest, I was prepared for the worst and it wasn't that terrible. The first few days were uncomfortable, I had a difficult time taking the pain meds and antibotics. But my mother, who is a nurse told me that I'd regret not taking all the meds and I forced them down. Day one…

i don't think its possible to have too much protein, especially if you are working out (your muscles need extra protein to repair themselves). protein also helps with satiety (fiber helps with this too). don't worry about being over as long as you're getting a fair amount of veggies in you!

a few ideas: 1.) two chicken sausages with wilted spinach and fresh tomato slices 2.) 2oz ham, cheese, high fiber/low cal english muffin sandwich 3.)overnight oatmeal (you take greek yogurt, berries and old fashioned oatmeal..mix it together and place in the fridge before going to bed.. and its delicious the next morning)

I'd just make the smartest choices you can while ordering and eat sensible portions. Enjoy being taken out to dinner by your parents, don't fret. EDIT: i just looked at the menu.. this is what i'd order if i were trying to be lo-calorie starter: tandorri chicken main: tandorri king prawns or dahl samber side: green salad…

if you're single, 33 and down in the dumps about this situation.. then you're going to remain in this situation. no one, i repeat, no one wants to be with someone who is enveloped with self pity. learn to love being you and by yourself. it is when you know yourself and are happy with yourself that you meet your mate. until…

think of porn, like you think of pooping. do you want him to tell you every time he poops? i'm guessing no.. so why does he need to tell you about every time he watches porn? it reads like you are making a big deal out of small potatoes and that there is a larger underlying issue, such as your inability to trust the man…

add distance and make sure you are running hills. hills are the quickest way to build your muscles and become speedier. granted.. they aren't fun.. but they will do the trick.

you are in the first few weeks of dating someone.. this should be fun, easy, breezy.. not work or stress. this dude isn't the one for you, or the timing isn't right. either way... i'd log back into your okcupid account and test the waters with someone else.
