maybe you are someone who is a volume eater, which is completely normal and lots of people are. if this is the case, then try adding foods to your diet that let you eat a lot of bulk, but don't take up a large portion of your daily allotted calories. here's a short list of foods that fill you up, without killing your…

Hi Friend, Take a few days off of running until you go on your big hike. Its not worth risking further injury before your trip to the wilderness. Rest, relax, take a bath and ice when you have time to watch Gossip Girl reruns. As silly as this sounds, I find that when I have over done (my term for injured) myself, I eat a…

as the previous comments mention.. a hat is the best answer i have found to the face sweat question.. in regards to the runny nose.. it took me a few attempts, but i learned how to do a clean "farmer's blow" whilst on the run. you turn your head to the side, plug one nostril and quickly exhale through your open (snotty)…

i would probably add ice and asprin to healing regime and maybe add another day of rest. if it feels funny when you try running on it, then see a doctor to make sure you didn't pull something.. hope you heal swiftly

I love bikram! But only practice during the winter months, as the room is kept above 100 degrees with very high humidity and i cannot bare to walk out of it into warm temps. be prepared for 90 minutes of being VERY aware of what your body is doing. drink lots of water before, sip during, and rehydrate after. also be warey…

i get tingling toes when i am running if i don't stretch my calves before working out. i spend a good 3 minutes per calf doing different stretches (which in stretching time seems like FOREVER).... i repeat the same stretches when i finish but for only about 2 minutes. apparently tight muscles can put pressure on a nerve…

i agree with the previous statements of working on your distance first, your pace with quicken as you put more miles on your legs. i went from running 12.5 min miles to 9.5 min miles by increasing my distance.. not focusing on my pace.. now that i have the distance down that i want to run, i work on my pacing by doing…
