I would be dying/dead from my infected gall bladder that I had removed last month during emergency surgery.
-
Good point! As an example, they had told me they take the gallbladder out through the belly button so I imagined no scar ABOVE my belly button. I thought there would be a hidden scar inside my belly button. (Sort of like they hide a scar in the bikini line so it isn't really noticeable.) Granted, it is not a big scar, but…

Sorry to not reply sooner. I went in through the ER so they did not let me eat once I got there. Not that I wanted to actually, that was extremely painful and I also had waves of extreme nausea. I understand the nervousness because I still have a food phobia about what I ate right before the attack started. I don't know…

. . . um four incisions and the gallbladder is put in a little bag and removed through the incision right above your belly button . . . much better than the old surgery but they do pump you up with gas and there are cuts through the abdominal wall . . . just much smaller:wink:

I just had mine out 4 weeks ago. I went to the ER in severe pain and after the CT scan they pumped me full of antibiotics and morphine. I had the surgery that evening. They wouldn't let me eat anything once I hit the ER and put me on IVs so I can't help on that. I woke up from surgery in so much less pain than before! I…

I just had mine out right after labor day. The surgery and recovery are not too bad.

Thanks for posting that - very interesting. I guess I will try a Granny Smith this week.

I love my Fitbit!

Tight workout shorts or pants allow less opportunity for accidentally showing off body parts one would prefer covered in public. Same for tight shirts. When you bend and move, they stay on your body right where you want them. Loose sleeves and clothing can provide an unintentional peep show.

Absolutely incredible!!!!!!

The fitbit will log anything that includes steps and doesn't count things like riding a mower or driving in the car automatically. It will not sense a bike ride or weight lifting type activities and count those automatically. You can however log those in MFP and it will sync with the Fitbit ap so that you don't double…

I think the problem is that the older you get, the less you care!

It might depend on why you had the procedure. Fibroids can greatly enlarge the uterus. Might not make you gain 20 lbs but it would definitely make your waist larger.

The college students around here go around like that all the time. People over that age, not so much.

My hubby is over 6 inches taller than me so he gets way more calories. I have to be careful that I am not comparing my eating to his. If we split something in half, I could get too many calories for weight loss and he could still be at a deficit.

I have been completely unable to give up ice cream.:noway:

Mine used to do the throw up thing too. Gross! I went back and read the post from the OP, and I would like to add that I did close my kitchen to the kids. When they were young we somehow got started on the 10 o'clock fruit o'clock morning snack. My husband came home at various times of the evening so to keep them…

I notice it mostly brought up in the context of people being puzzled that they are not losing weight. So they are advised that maybe the logging is not accurate and they should measure. Pretty good advice.

I get a better idea of what the poster is facing or what they are asking when they use obese, overweight, morbidly obese etc since they give an idea of how overweight they are. Fat is just so vague.

When I want to 'bank' calories, I don't eat back any of my exercise calories that week. But with MFP, you can basically do whatever you want. You can just eat less during the week every day and save a some extra for the weekend. Of course with drinking, less than wise food choices are often made, so you need to factor that…

As the mother of three grown kids, I beg to differ. My youngest was such a picky eater but not the older two. In college, she has expanded her repertoire of food quite a bit. My oldest started eating hot and sour soup at age 2.5 and love it. My younger still wouldn't eat it. And not because it wasn't offered or wasn't…

Not sure where they are really going with this show now.

Also body build matters a lot. I tend to lose off my hips and thighs before my waist, so my pant size goes down faster than my top size.

300 calories for 8 oz of cooked salmon seems low to me.

I set my goal at 150, but I'm not really sure how realistic that is at this point. I plan to reevaluate my goal once I lose another 20 pounds.

My opinion on sugar is that it tastes amazing, but I have to limit it. Sadly I have blood sugar issues.

I lived all over the child including Southeast Asia, so I guess that means I get to eat everything!

French people are sort of known for their daily wine drinking and also their slim waists.

Love my Aria scale. I have it synced to MFP to help keep me accountable!

I just tried the Biochem natural. It is pretty taste neutral. I mixed it with my greek yogurt and couldn't really taste it which was a plus for me.
