  • @ Puggglet Beat me to the comment about the tattoo LOL ..
  • What a wonderful, positive idea. It takes less time to see all our faults then it does to see what is wonderful about us. So here is my list, that I am going to work on each morning, so I don't focus on the fact that my thighs don't seem to want to go down like the rest of me does. LOL. 1. My hair color( thankfully at 46 I…
  • Always looking for new friends for support and motivation. Anyone feel free to add me. I am going on 20days strong.
  • Feel free to add me. I restarted my journey back in March and started up here again less then a month ago. Now that I am older, it is not so much about trying to look good or fit into the bikini, but to be healthy and not hit 50 and have health issues. Welcome back and take a day at a time, a meal at a time.
  • Keep up the good work, I have a friend on here that has lost 192lbs. It has taken her 4 years to get there, but she is an inspiration to me. She works out just about everyday, rain or shine, in the cold. When I feel like complaining about why I don't want to work out I think about her and realize what am I whining about. I…
  • Keep taking each day at a time. For me I can't focus long term. I have not set a date to get to my goal, when it happens it happens. I used to be controlled by the scale, but a loss is a loss no matter how big or how small. Everyone that has commented here has great advice and has give some very supportive feedback. Go…
  • You can add me as well. I have set a goal of 28 miles for the month of August. Although I am not a competitive person, I wouldn't be apposed to the motivation to be accountable for clocking the miles. First and foremost I am doing this for myself, and then my family. I think that is great that you are doing this to be…
  • NO-CARB! I would get really bored with that.
  • I have been limiting my carbs to no more then 25G every 4 hours. And I am down 35lbs since March. I have found that it is very easy. I have also cut out my sugar and splenda use and only use Stevia. This is not for everyone, and carbs affect people differently. I was told by my Dr. to cut my carbs down. I still have my…
  • I supplement my protein intake with Whey protein shakes. Look for one that is low in fat and carbs. A shake will usually give you around 26 grams of protein but won't up the fat. And the calories in the one I use is 130. Sometimes just having that extra protein helps to keep you full and with the weight training your body…
  • Thanks LisaBear, and congrats to you as well.
  • Thank you......
  • So that's what Google is for.....
  • Ok I read part of the incredibly long SexyPants thread. WTF is Metirc and minutia? Minutia sounds like some kind of disease. LOL
  • Diet Snarky Cliques Starvation Mode Ok so funny words: *kitten* Cumquate and I will add Gut-rot
  • My reason Why. Completely and 100% totally for myself. And I don't want to be this size when I turn 50 in 4 years either. To get my life insurance premiums to go down. To fit into all the clothes that are hanging in my closet. And just for general well being.
  • Great advice from everyone. We all gain and lose for different reasons, it can be very frustrating. Keep up what you are doing, and remember muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less room. So even if the weight on the scale hasn't changed, you could be losing inches, that is why the clothes fit better. And by…
  • LOL Thanks for the motivational stuff.
  • UMM !! Wow! Ok. I for one was never in a "Clique" and I don't really consider this place to be like that. Yes there are people on here that post wittier and funnier things then I do, and defiantly look way hotter then me, Kudos to you that have worked hard on getting where you are, You look Marvelous. But it isn't going to…
  • I have been taking this since March 2014 and have lost 34lbs. I feel so much better. I have changed my lifestyle. I have cut my carbs down to no more then 25G every 4 hours. This was per my Dr. recommendations. I don't drink beer or wine any longer, and if I do it is only 1. I eat very healthy, no processed foods or food…
  • Good job on getting back to trying to get healthy. Its a one day at a time kind of thing. I just started incorporating walking 2-3 miles every other day. I would love to get back to running but I am not sure my back and knee would appreciate it.
  • I had half mine removed a few years ago. What I found worked for me was to cut my grams of carbs down to no more then 25g ever four hours. For a long time I thought it was my thyroid. I take medicine everyday that takes over for it. If you want to add me, I will be more then willing to help give support during the…
  • Any type of change is rough in the beginning. Give yourself credit for starting the change, to a healthier person. This should be a life change, and not a change for a few months. So give yourself time, it won't happen overnight. When I started, I stopped and started over and over many times. But I kept going, taking one…
  • I use runkeeper. Feel free to add me also. :) I have about 59lbs to lose for my final goal. But I am always setting small goals for my self. It makes that end number not seem so far away. And if any one else wants to add me as well. Feel free. I am listed as Jenny Wander Sears on runkeeper.
  • Hi, Feel free to add me as well. I have been struggling for about 4 years, slowly putting the weight I lost back on. After the thyroid surgery, and a very stressful job, I finally found something that works for me. I have finally seen progress that I haven't seen in a very long time. I would lose 11lbs or so then it would…
  • You all can add me. I need all the help and motivational support I can get as well.
  • Hi! I am also a returning member and have been thru the same situation of getting distracted. I need someone to make me accountable and give me a shove once in while. I am in my mid 40's but get mistaken for being in my late 30's, just wish the body felt like that at times. I am trying to get back to my running that I have…
  • I am looking for a Journey buddy as well, someone to keep me accountable and vice-versa. I have tried this site a few times and have kind of ventured off course. I use to enjoy running 3x a week sometimes 4 and was up to 6 miles till I suffered a back injury and have not been able to work out as the same intensity as I use…
  • HELP!!!!!!! I need motivational help. I am in a rut with the weather and it is easier to sit on the couch and not go to the gym. So any help is appreciated. Thanks for the offer
