Sometimes when you start a new routine you can see a gain on the scale but keep with it it will start to go down. Are you meeting your calorie goal?

If you're hitting your protein needs without whey, it's not necessary.

I haven't necessarily quit. Some where along the line I realized it just wasn't as important anymore. I enjoy having the energy to workout. I'll still enjoy having a few drinks but it's maybe once a month or every other month.

You really just have to stop giving up. I know it's not easy. Every time you "mess up" let it go and keep going. Eventually, results will come. I can guarantee you that the progress may be slower if you continue to fall off track, but if you get up and try at it again eventually you will see some progress. And really as…

Start jogging and do body weight exercises. Squats, lunges, push ups, etc. Take your little one to the park as often as possible. Walk there, take the longer route. Keep busy at home. Do yard work, clean house, anything just keep moving. Soon you'll start to enjoy it.

Before you start eating more try sticking to your calorie goal, log everything and keep an eye on servings. If nothing changes after that then up your calories.

I recently tried one with avocado, mango and pineapple..and banana but I'm sure it's good without it also.

I know how easy it is to forget about ourselves during this time. You can cook a couple pounds of chicken ahead, tuna sandwiches, pb sandwiches, smoothies - chop your fruit/veggies and freeze in bags so that all you have to do is add ice and milk or water to the blender. Almonds, boiled eggs, any fruit, baby carrots,…

You can use a higher fiber pasta, add some broccoli and even some small pieces of chicken and not too crazy on the cheese...sorry no specific recipe though

Great post. I am guilty of taking bites off my kids plates all the time..and not logging it. Agree, cereal serving sizes are stupid!

I plan most of our meals ahead of time so I'm not doing multiple trips to the grocery store. So excited for dinner today! I'm making chicken and black bean stuffed poblano peppers and white rice with peas, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno. Can't wait!

My son once made himself a pb toast except this one had tons of candy sprinkles on it too!

My son is almost 8 and if he wants a snack I don't mind that he gets it on his own. He knows if I'm cooking dinner he needs to wait but otherwise if he's hungry I encourage him to eat. I try to keep mostly healthy snacks in the house anyway so if he goes for something it's more than likely a fruit, sting cheese, yogurt...…
