Focus T25 - Gain Weight First Before Losing Weight On Scale?

Hi,
I just started Focus T25 and I think it's a great workout so far. My main focus is not really the scale weight; so I'm guessing I will most likely gain some weight in muscle first before seeing a drop in weight on my scale. I also guess that the muscle I gain will then help me burn more fat and increase my metabolism.
I can feel my leg muscles already getting stronger; which is great, but I hope in turn that I will start burning fat and get leaner/toner.
I've been lazy for the past couple of years; so I definitely added a spare tire or two. Plus, sitting all day at work doesn't help either.
For people that have completed Focus T25; what type of results did you see? Increase in weight but loss of fat with a slim/tone look?
Thank you!

only way to burn fat and lose weight is to eat at a deficit!
Calories in vs calories out = weight loss
Exercise = overall health0 -
Sometimes when you start a new routine you can see a gain on the scale but keep with it it will start to go down. Are you meeting your calorie goal?0

Thanks for the replies!
Yes, I've also changed up my eating habits and lowered my calorie intake; eating a lot healthier now.
No more eating out all the time and eating anything I want...ohhh those were some good days but paying for it now! haha.0 -
You will likely gain some weight but it will be from water retention within your muscle not actual muscle mass (ie additional muscle tissue). Staring a new exercise program I typically gain 5 pounds in retained water that can easily offset or mask any fat loss for quite a while.
Even in the best of circumstances muscle growth will never outpace fat loss and if you are at a caloric deficit you should not be expecting any gains in terms of muscle.0
