  • I would love to have some of the same friends. I too have 100 to lose more or less. I had been doing really well with MFP until I stopped logging food a few weeks ago. Now I feel like my eating is out of control again. I have been making a consistent effort to log most of my food in the past week which has helped. I also…
  • I started 2 weeks ago. Last night I did week 2 day 2. I am loving it. I am a big girl (230). It is giving me some energy I didn't know I had before. I want to do a 3k in May so I think I will be okay. I run outside.

  • RN in ED. Work 4a-4p or 4p-4a shifts.....flip back and forth a lot (too much) :)
  • I just got back from a beautiful walk. Our shifts are not the usual 7-7 12 hour shifts. I work 4-4. It is nice because when I get home from a night shift at 4:30am I sleep till about 11-12 and then have some time to work out before going back to work at 4p. One more night shift tonight then back to 12 hour days on…
  • Hello guys....I am an ER nurse who works varying days and night shifts. I struggle a lot due to my shift work. Some days I don't eat enough and others too much. I am sometimes too exhausted to workout. I have been getting a little better but struggle with it everyday. Would love some others advice as well. Angie
  • Count me in. I will shoot for 40 hours for the month. I think that is so doable. Angie
  • I too would love to join your little group. I am 41, married, with 2 growing boys (15-12). I have at least 100 pounds to loose. I have been lurking around here for about 2 months now. I am down 2 but would love for that to be a little better. I haven't really found anyone that I connect with on these message boards to get…
  • I use my exercise ball for most of the things in the shred. This way I am not putting any pressure on my knees for the push ups. I also use it when doing the sit ups because it makes my back feel better.
  • This is what we tell people when they come into the ER. Your stomach and bowels are irritated right now. You need to let them rest. If you can stay hydrated with small amounts of ice chips/gatorade/pedialyte etc. do it. We have people start as small as 1 tbsp of liquid every 15 minutes. If your body keeps that in then…
  • I have noticed that I am not as motivated in the morning either. I need a few hours to "wake up". I find this funny because 10-15 years ago I would always work out first thing in the morning. I think that my life and schedule has changed so drastically now that I can't find the energy to do it in the morning. (Or I am just…
  • Give it a little more time and stick with it. I notice that it takes a good 2 weeks for my body to catch up to all the good things that I am doing. Your body is adjusting. Make sure you always eat you calories though. I have sabatoged myself big time in the past by eating under my calories. Your body will go into…
  • We just got the Wii Fit Plus last week. I am loving it. I love the running, biking...all of it. How much success for wt loss have people had with it. I did notice that you can't put it on carpet and expect it to be the same measurements everytime. We put it on a board and it measures much more consistently.
