  • Feel free to add me ;)
  • so yesterday I spent the majority of the day prepping things for the week. My sweet husband smoked a package of chicken breast for me. I cut that up into pieces for salads. I "hard boiled" eggs in my air fryer. I made an egg bake that consisted of eggs, onion powder, turkey, broccoli, cheese, and heavy cream. I mixed all…
  • Hello, my name is Angela. I am 49 years old, 5'3 and 260. This is my highest weight ever. My ultimate goal weight is 180. I was working out daily for 2 years with a trainer and loved the way I felt. I could not get below 240#. Last March I fell and broke my ankle and it all went down hill from there. I tried keto several…
  • 48, 2 adult children (22 & 18). Lots to lose. Add me :)
  • Hello. I am back after trying WW for a year. Have a short term goal of 40 pounds.....long term 80. Would live a buddy to keep motivated with
  • feel free to add me. I am 44 and looking to lose at least 80. I have been working at it for about 9 months now and am down 20 and lots of inches. I still have 50-60 to go. One pound at a time.
  • I started 2 weeks ago and it took me about 4 days to get my carbs a little more under control. It was trial and error. Now I am doing much better and am finding more options for eating. I did find a really cool website with tons of recipes and options www.ruled.me.com Feel free to friend me....I would love to have someone…
  • I am not 50 either....44 but more than willing for extra support. :) Friend me :)
  • Thanks for all the help. It is a learning curve. It was a compromise between my MD and I. He wanted me to start cholesterol meds now and I asked for 6 months to lose some weight. I am afraid to not work out for 2-4 weeks because I am really in a groove right now and once lost it is hard for me to get back into it.
  • I am 5'3 and 244#. My MD says I need to lose 50 # in 6 months or I will need to go on cholesterol meds. I have tried everything under the sun. I was eating healthy (1200 cal) a day and working out 60 min/5 days a week for 6 weeks and didn't lose a single pound. He wanted me to try this ketogenic plan so that is what I am…
  • I got the fitbit flex about 2 weeks ago and LOVE it. I just wear it on my wrist and I am done. I have had to charge it once in 10 days. It syncs perfectly with MFP. It has really helped me stay motivated and almost "compete" with myself when it comes to activity
  • Very well said. I get frustrated when I ask questions on here sometimes. Just looking for what others may have done....not a lecture. I agree....I think the smoothie would be better in terms of nutrition, fullness, and whole food. Just my opinion. I just purchased Nutribullet yesterday and am loving experimenting with…
  • I bought one today too. Can't wait to get started and try new things. Wondering if anyone has ever put any dairy products in it like milk or yogurt?
  • -16 with -50 wind chill here in WI. No school for the kids. I still had to get out and go to work....healthcare never stops ;)
  • I too just started over. Would love extra motivation
  • I think that I would try and loose some more weight first. That will take a lot of pressure off of your back and knees. I have knee problems and tried running. It was very painful. I am going to try and loose about 20 more pounds before I try again. Also I did realize that a good pair of running shoes makes all the…
  • I had a treadmill and traded it in and got an elliptical. I love my elliptical. The treadmill is "powered" so you have to keep up with it where as the elliptical is under your power....so you put the energy into it. If that makes sense.
  • I am no expert at this stuff at all and lord knows that I have had my struggles. I usually don't post on what people have in their diary's because again I am always struggling. I did look however and it doesn't look like you eat a whole lot of vegetables. Also I noticed that most of your calories are eaten in 2 meals with…
  • I have condramalacia pattellar...or in simple terms my knee cap does not track properly and so when I exercise my knee cap rubs on my femur. It is extremely painful. I wear a brace to pull my knee caps over so they track properly. I too am 42. My knees feel like they will give out on me at times and they ache all the time.…
  • I just finished Day 2 of Level 1. I love the workout. I was able to do more push ups today than the first. My problem is actually with the jumping jacks and the lateral leg squats. I have bad knees. I can do the first set of jumping jacks and then have to run in place because my knees give out. Also if I go too far into…
  • I would agree that the 30 day shred is much easier than p90x. Also any of the walk away the pounds videos are good to get the legs and arms moving. No crunches or jumping jacks though. It is nice on the knees but gives you a good cardio. Hope that helps.
  • I had to put down my walking buddy in Sept. It has not been the same since. I loved that chocolate lab dearly. It will eventually get better but I know how you feel. It is still hard for me to go and walk without her.
  • I too have about 100 to lose. I have been doing the C25K and love it. I found a great app on my smart phone (run double) and love it. It has taken me a bit longer to get through some of the weeks than expected. I have done some of the weeks training twice before moving on. It is amazing how by the end of the week I am…
  • I have chronic knee pain. When I did Jillian I would not do the jumping as it was unstable for me. During those times on the video I just jogged in place. I felt that I was still moving and getting my heart rate up. This worked well for me.
  • I too am 41 and looking for lots of encouragement. I have been more serious about things in the past 2 weeks than I have been in a long time. I have about 70 pounds to lose. Anyone can feel free to add me :)
  • Congrats on the wt loss and the c25k. I too am about 240 and have started the c25k. I had made it to week 4 but due to some family issues I had not run in 4 weeks. I got back to it this week and am feeling great. I need to be more consistent with my eating. I will log for a few days and then don't. Weekends are the worst…
  • I am a big girl and I don't run. I have constant knee pain from chondromalacia patellar. I started the c25k program a few months ago and really struggled. I was running on a track and had horrible shin splints. It was so bad that I could barely walk during the walking intervals. I was using running shoes but they were old…
  • I too am a big girl. I started the c25k 4 weeks ago. I can not believe how much I am able to run now. That first week I wondered what the heck I was thinking. Depending on how I feel about the "week" I am on I may do an extra day or 2 before I move on to the next week. I want to be able to get through the weeks run without…
