For my shorter runs I usually have 1 loop I use in my neighborhood. If I go one direction it's mostly down hill, but if I want more of a challenge, I can do the loop in the opposite direction. I forgot to mention that running definitely helps. My doctor told me that exercise actually forces the airways to open, and prevents scar tissue from forming in the lungs. I think I need to be on something else for the time being but I'm playing back and forth with the doctor's office and insurance company.
