Some oppressive heat and humidity today! I didn't hydrate enough. I ran a few miles, stopped and drank a liter of water, and did a few more.

Well done everyone! I haven't posted because I was resting for a few days. I just did two 5K practice runs and a strength/circuit training session this week. Today I ran my first official 5K. I was able to get under the 30 min mark (about 28 minutes--won't have an official time until tomorrow).

Last week I think I tried to do too much, and just barely finished my long run of 8.5 miles last Saturday. I'm trying to take it easier this week. I have my first official 5K on Sunday. I did 3.24 miles in 30min tonight. I plan on doing 3-4 miles on Wed and Friday, circuit training on Tues and Thurs, and rest on Saturday.
