Bump! I haven't used my polar in AGES because of the lost signal. Now I know how to fix -- thank you!!

Bump! (Starting Week 3 tomorrow.)
-
Week 2, day 3 DONE! Before I felt: Asleep! I randomly woke up at 6 a.m. (an hour earlier than planned) and decided to get my run in before packing for the beach. During I felt: Really good! Bumped my jogging speed to 4.2, which felt better than 4.0 -- and did my last jogging interval at 5.0! After I felt: A little queasy…

Week 2, day 2 DONE! Before I felt: Preoccupied. During I felt: I had a lot of discomfort in my calves and a little in my shins -- had to pause midway to tighten my shoes, which helped the shins but did nothing for the calves. I took about a 5 minute break between the 4th and 5th intervals, but I managed to complete the…

Week 2, day 1 DONE! My current weight (as of 08/02) is 186. I've gone up SIX lbs in the last week. I'm retaining a TON of water weight -- last week was TOM, then starting C25k, and I had too much alcohol and sodium over the weekend. Not happy, but lesson learned. Time to cut the alcohol and watch my sodium. My goal for…

Bumping, to save to My Topics!

Bump (very interested in these recipes! Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add at the moment.)

Week 1, day 3 done! Before C25K today I felt: Excited to try out my new music mix (with verbal running cues!) During C25K today I felt: Pretty good -- ran on a better treadmill, which made a big difference; mentally had to push through the jogging, had some soreness in the legs (mostly very low on the calf). Walked at a…

Week 1, day 2 done! Before C25K today I felt: Sore! And nervous that the soreness would make the workout difficult. During C25K today I felt: Pretty good! The soreness wasn't as big of an issue as I thought. After C25K today I felt: Invigorated; proud that I completed the whole workout; happy to be getting back into a…

Oh -- starting weight is 183.2. I'm hoping to lose 9-18 lbs by the end of week 9.

Hi everyone! Today was Week 1, day 1 for me. Had a rough TOM this weekend and wasn't up to running on Monday. Or Tuesday. BUT today I made sure to get myself to the gym and on a treadmill! Before C25K today I felt: Nervous and excited! I was excited to start, but nervous to go to the gym at my apartment complex -- I've…

If you're still accepting members, I'd like to join in! I've been a member of MFP for almost two years now. Initially lost 40 lbs, then got off track a little, gained 10 back, lost 10, gained it back. I've been struggling to find my motivation, but I've decided I have to do it. I need to lose 50-60 more lbs, and REALLY…

Thank you for all the responses! I very much appreciate the advice and comments. Getting back on the RIGHT track now.

Day 20 -- sweat/abs -- done! Been getting in my 100/100 on the abs all week, VERY happy about this! Feeling REALLY good after today's workout -- which is nice, especially compared to how I felt the last couple of days (today being the first day of TOM, too!) I feel energetic, yet calm at the same time. Sculpt…

Day 19 sculpt done! Feeling a little woozy because I took less breaks than I have been (no breaks until circuit 3 -- and only 2 short pauses there) and kept my heart rate up longer. Sipping my apple juice/pea protein recovery drink, hoping the sugar will calm the wooziness.
-
Day 18 done! Tired now -- time for a shower and some lunch. Glad to see everyone doing well!
-
Thanks for the encouragement today, everyone! I am feeling very much motivated again and ready to kick some butt! I am happy to say that not only did I do Sculpt today -- I actually did push-ups ON MY TOES! I could only manage 8 reps each, and the 7-7-7s were on the knees because it was just too much by that point -- but I…

Hi all. Sorry I disappeared! I've been really struggling with my consistency... I'm good for a few weeks, and then the littlest thing throws me off course. I'm mad at myself, I'm embarrassed... but I'm not giving up. Sadly, this has been a recurring pattern for the last 9 months or so. Little things that I could get away…

Great information. Thanks for sharing, DeeDee!

Brent -- you look great! :drinker: What an inspiration! And you seem SO MUCH happier in the after pics. Way to go, dude!!

Thanks for the replies, everyone! I didn't get my workouts in Monday or Tuesday (out of the house all day Monday, Tuesday no excuse -- just been in a weird head space) but I got back to it today! Did sweat and abs -- back is still quite sore, and I had to go pretty slow and modify in places, but I got through the whole…

Need your opinions! I threw out my back a little this weekend (I wasn't doing anything strenuous -- I just bent and twisted wrong when it was tight). I think I may have been lifting too much during sculpt last week -- pushing max reps with my 8 lbs weights, and my back got progressively tighter as the week went on, though…

Hi everyone! I'm Mande; currently a stay-at-home wife, hoping to become a stay-at-home mom sometime this year. I'm a vegetarian, and working my way through a round of Power90 (on week 3 right now) and doing some additional walking and yoga on the weekends. Oh, I've recently taken up crochet, but I'm not very good at it…

I'm hangin'. Thanks for the support, Stormy! :flowerforyou:

Run lunge? Yeah, I can't do run lunge. That takes a kind of coordinated that I just don't have. I just keep jogging in place during run lunge.
-
Thanks!! Jumping jacks used to bother my knees, too, but it got better over time. I'm all for modifying when necessary!
